Coming off Effexor, disjointed crazy rambling thoughts?!

Question: Coming off Effexor, disjointed crazy rambling thoughts!?
I've been off effexor for a week, but still going through some bad withdrawls, how long before I feel "normal" again!? I'm going to my doctor in an hour, and thinking of getting switched to Wellbutrin because I heard it's better!. Anyone try Wellbutrin, did you find it better!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I have to say that Wellbutrin for me has been the best too!
The only side effect (for me) is my life has really improved!.
Good luck, and in the future NEVER go off your meds without your Dr's help!. Abruptly quitting is not only physically harmful but also dangerous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hate to play devil's advocate, but I tried wellbutrin and it turned me into a crazed tyrant!. I learned that it affects some people like that!. A lot of people say it is the greatest thing they have tried and I am happy for them, just be careful and watchful no matter what you try and remember that there is no one anti-depressant that works for everyone!. You may have to try many to find your answer, but don't give up hope because there are many good ones out there!. This is a huge problem and there are new meds coming out all the time!. As far as coming off the effexor, you should notice an improvement immediately after beginning a new medicine!. If you don't, ask your doctor to prescribe something like xanax to calm your thoughts!. I took effexor and really liked it, but it was causing the same problem while I was on it and having crazy very vivid dreams where I woke feeling like I hadn't slept!. Other than that it was probably the best one I have tried and I have tried many!. I have just been prescribed the new one, pristiq, which is supposed to be the new and improved effexor, so if your side effects were mild on effexor, you may want to ask about pristiq!. Definitely tell your doctor about the random thoughts when you go for your visit though, because he/she may prescribe something to help in the meantime!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on how long you've been on it-- withdrawals could last a few weeks, or a few months!.
Many people use Prozac to wean off effexor and keep stableWww@Answer-Health@Com
