I DO!. ;P They don't care!.!.& all the stuff they tell me is just common sense anyway!.!.so now what do I do!? Are people with severe mental problems DOOMED!.!.I feel like I am!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to feel this way until I found a great therapist!. This took me many years and a good half dozen therapists!. I suggest finding a new one!.
Yes, a lot of it is common sense, but often times those of us with mental health issues are so wrapped up in our heads it takes a good verbal smack of reality from a good therapist to realize what should have been common sense all along!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The mental health field does not attract many of the best people to work in it!. This is sad but true so unless a patient has a lot of money for good private care or is very fortunate to fall upon some of the few good doctors, nurses, councillors, then one needs to face up to the reality of things and do the best one can!.

When staying in contact with the mental health system, people are more likely to stay on their meds!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.that's a triumph in itself!.
I think it was horrible when Reagan just turned out the people who needed to live in State Mental Hospitals!. I don't say they were released, or ready to leave!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.they were turned out onto streets!. The stopped taking meds, became homeless!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.many of them!. My father was one of these people, and luckily, I got him into an appt!. Here, he was constantly in fear, as his delusions, his fears, his paranoia went on until the day he died!. That happens to FAR too many people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i feel this way myself,but i also know there's Ts and docs out there who really care for the people they work with and not doing it just for the money!.Just wish more therapists and docs looked at us as human beings and not labels or numbers!.Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right T for you,but it is worth the search and when you find one you will have a more positive outlook on life than you ever did before!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think the mental health care system is only about money! Sad to say, but they don't ever seem to want to get to the root of people's thoughts; instead they drug them up and tell them there is no other way!. I agree that it's a joke!.

They have crossed the line several times but what do you do when you need help!? You see a shrink!. Our nation is full of misdiagnosed mental patients just so the Doctor an make a buck and the drug companies get rich!.

Sounds like you need a different therapist!. There are good ones out there, but can be difficult to find!. Don't give up!Www@Answer-Health@Com
