Is this ADHD or just the way the person is?!

Question: Is this ADHD or just the way the person is!?
My 17 year old friend acts rude and disrespectful all the time!. When I stopped hanging out with him, he told me that he acts the way he acts because of his ADHD!. Some things that he did are:
1!. Rejecting the birthday gift that I gave him!. He said, "Take this back and get me a real gift!."
2!. Telling my dad to clean dog poop off his sneaker when he was visiting my house!.
3!. Inviting himself to places without waiting for an invitation!.
4!. Throwing my possessions around!.
5!. Pushing me into my garage because I was beating him in a basketball game!.
6!. Being a sore loser!.
7!. Being critical of everyone except himself!.
Am I doing the right thing by not hanging out with him or should I feel bad for him!?

He's on medication and acts rude all the time!.

is this being an ****** or is adhd really the problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
ersan b, personally I think you friend has an attitude problem!., and I don't think it is because he has ADHD!. If I were you, I would distance myself from such people because they are such a negative force!. Hang around positive people because their positive energies will do you good now and in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thats definently ADHD, he isn't taking into consideration other peoples reactions or what is socially correct my friend does this and he is adhd!. so you have to force him to change by saying something almost childish like, I won't be your freind any more if keep doing stuff like this this and this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be because of his adhd!. when people suffer constantly they tend to ge tmore irritable or "pissy"!. but i think u shud distance urself away from him as it is not an excuse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He needs his butt stomped, that will teach him respect and self control before doping him will!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is NOT ADHD!.!.!.this is having very bad mannersWww@Answer-Health@Com

ADHD impacts everyone a little differently, so it's difficult to say whether your friend's behavior is part of his disorder or just bad manners!. However, I can say that many people (especially teens) with ADHD do suffer problems with social skills similar to those that you describe - many struggle to see how their actions impact others and get into all sorts of trouble!. Ideally, medication helps to dampen this behavior, but sometimes ADHD meds help one symptom and not another, or wear off over time and need adjusting!.
