Answers:
I had to drop out of school for mental problems when I was fifteen!. I know how it feels!.
Talk to the school district, see if you can test out!.
If you get your GED, you can go straight to college!. Look up a GED place where you live and try to talk her into it!. It's what ended up working best for me, I tried to go back to school too and it didn't work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you sound like my son !. he has social disorder !. after the second year in 9 and knowing it was going to be a third he drop ed out and is now working to get his GED !. its not selling yourself short to me !. its doing what is right for you !. go to school and talk to the guidance consular to see whats best for you!. they could help !. best of luck to you !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first off if you still have anxiety disorder get meds to help you,
second you can get a highschool equivelancy, its just a series of general knowledge takes one or two days, and if you pass, like i did, you can take many vocational courses, i just finished a nursing assistant, without having to go through all of highschoolWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds a lot like my story!. I would suggest convincing your mom to let you get your G!.E!.D, diplomas matter very little in this day and age, most people look to your knowledge!. There are so many more methods of proving your knowledge these days depending upon the field you are going into!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's a way to test out of the 9th grade in fact I think you can test out of high school!. tell your mom how you feel!. and if you can't test out then home school!. you can also do Community CollegeWww@Answer-Health@Com

As at school, if there is a placement test u can take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

About the only work 16 year olds can do is fast food junk work !.
If you really want to be doing that when you are 30 ,
Go ahead and quit school now !.
Just figure out that those jobs do NOT pay enough for any kind of apartment so you will have to room in some really trashy low rent places the rest of your life !.
You will get food at the place tho and you should make enough for a bus pass someday , but rent a room close to the work because you will be walking for a long time !.
( You will never afford a car , insurance or maintenance on that $$ ) !.

Maybe you should hang out at McDs for a day & pretend you are working there and then multiply that by 1000's of days !.

Or suck it up and get an education and use your brain if you are 1/4 as smart as you claim !.
You could also take the grade tests if you are that smart , and advance ahead !.

Do it!.

What your mum knows that you don't is that finishing high school was important in her day!. We don't really know whether it'll prove to be important in your day yet!.!.!. But better safe than sorry!. My guess, for what it's worth, is that it will!.

Also if you're smart, you belong in college!. No college without graduating high school!.!.!. think of all the opportunities you'll miss out on there!. To say nothing of the actual education you'll be losing by not turning up!.

Final, and most important point: you have anxieties about failing and having to resit, and that's understandable!. Everybody has those!. It's perfectly ok to feel that way!. But I've also given up things because I was afraid I might fail!. I've also taken risks and had a go & surprised myself!. It's always better to try, because even if somebody else fails you, at least you haven't let yourself down!. If you don't even have a go, you'll always wonder, "could I have done that!?", and regret it!. And the regret of not-trying it the worst kind of regret- you only have yourself to blame for that one!. Take it from me!.

Plus, it'll make your mum happy : )Www@Answer-Health@Com
