Question: Is it possible to have side effects after only 2 days of taking Lexapro!?
I started taking Lexapro yesterday (10 mg) and took one again this morning, and all this afternoon I have had a very dry mouth, a funky nasty taste in my throat and I have been burping a lot!. Are these even side effects!? Only the dry mouth was listed on the sample packet from my doctor!. Is it possible to have side effects this quickly!? Do the side effects go away!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been taking Lexapro for about a year and a half, and it takes a few weeks for you to become acclimated to it and it reaches full strength!. I think I would keep it going for a couple weeks, and if that is still going on, then go see the doctor!.

One final word!.!.!. When you get ready to get off the Lexapro, do it very gradually!. If you're taking 10mg, cut back to 5mg pills (the smallest dose they make) and take them for a couple weeks!. Then, cut the 5mg pills in half (get a pill cutter) and take the half-pills for a couple weeks, then take the half-pills every other day for a couple weeks!. If you wanted to, you could go every third day with the half pills for a week or two, then stop taking them!. I never got dry mouth, I had the sexual side effects and I got "crazy legs!."
I had periods of physically shaking, especially my legs!.
The shaking got me off Lexapro because I ended up in the emergency room when I couldn't stop!. That's because a psychiatrist put me to 40mg and added Trazodone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
