How can I make myself leave myself alone?!


Question: How can I make myself leave myself alone!?
I can't stop being critical of myself and today it's particularly bad because I'm so tired!. I constantly put myself down to the point I can't focus on other things!. When I make a mistake I feel like the biggest idiot in the world and I've always thought there's something wrong with me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You certainly don't sound like you're suffering from any kind of mental illness!.
I think this is just the way that your upbringing has conditioned you to think!. If you parents didn't encourage risk taking, and you were made to feel stupid if you got something wrong then this results in the type of hyper-critical thinking you describe!. It can also happen with children who have very high performing or celeb parents 'cos they feel they can never live up to expectation!.
Learn to love yourself for who you are, mistakes and all!. Look for the things you are doing right and celebrate them!. When you make a mistake, don't waste energy feeling an idiot but say to yourself 'OK, I stuffed up but what have I learnt/what would I do differently next time!?'

I'm sorry darlin'!. Think we all go through that phase at one time or another!. Many things can bring that on!. Hormones or lack there of!. Death, divorce, pain!. You're not the only one in the world feeling bad!.

Tell yourself, "There are people in worse shape than ME" daily!. You didn't cause the earthquake over seas, you didn't cause the people to loose their loved ones during Hurricane Katrina and Rita!.

You are special!. You are the only you there is! Love yourself, or you will never love anyone else!.

Are you a teenager!? If you are then you will probably grow out of it! If not It could be a slight case of OCD (Obsessive, compulsive disorder) and you should ask your doctor for help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
