Cutting......??!


Question: Cutting!.!.!.!.!.!.!?!?
I just want to know how to stop!. Its so addictive, if you have any advice please help me!.

You are addicted to the brain hormone Endorphin which your brain produces to ease your pain when you cut yourself!.It is at least 3 times stronger then morphine and equally addictive!.

# Tell someone you trust about your feelings!. When you feel like cutting yourself confide in a teacher, school counselor, parent, friend, relative, etc!.!.!. will do just fine!. If they don't know about your current struggle tell them about it and tell them you need their help to keep yourself from cutting again!.

# Talk to this person whenever you have the urge to cut!. Some persons experience that a school counselor is a good choice to help with your cutting!.

# Keep a hotline number with you at all times!. When you feel the urge to cut, pick up the phone and call the hotline!. Crisis hotline staff are trained to provide support and offer you alternatives to cutting yourself!.

# Remember that to a professional crisis clinician it is clear that it is not their job to "talk you out of" cutting yourself - you make your own choices, and you must take responsibility for either cutting or not cutting!.

# Remove cutting tools from your immediate area!. If you have to take the time to look for something with which to cut yourself, you may find you have just given yourself enough time to deal with the impulse!. Also keep sharp objects away from you!.

#Identify the 'trigger' that gives you the urge to cut!. The moment you have the urge to cut, stop and think of what has just occurred!. Remember it and try to avoid these situations!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's def not easy and you need help because it becomes something like a coping method and you need to find other ways to healthily deal with stressful situations, this can be talking to someone, finding a hobby or listening to your favourite music, but making sure that the music isn't making you want to cutt more!. there are always help lines/sites that you can reach out for help if you need the extra support!. You need foundations such as family and friends to help you when you when you feel the need to cutt, its seriously not going to be easy but keep holding on, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I could not answer any better!. The only thing I would add to that is get busy and do something in your life that would give you some Adrenalin!.

Sport, join a band, rock climbing, get a job, etc!. You need an outlet and you have too much time on your hands to think and cut!. Get busy busy busy!

Hi Darl, You Need To Talk To Someone!. It's Not Always Easy For That Someone To Be A Parent Or A Friend As They Can Sometimes Be Too Close To The Problem And End Up Over Reacting!. A Counsellor Or Medical Professional May Be Able To Help Or Give You Guidance!. It Needs To Be Someone You Can Feel Comfortable Talking To About Why You Self Harm And From Whom You Can Accept Help!.

I used to cut aswell, i still do sorta, just stop yourself, its all about controll, try and think about something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
