I have had depression all my life!. Before I took meds; I had a terrible time!. I am a Christian and I used to pray that He would take away the depression!. It did not happen!. Finally, I felt I could no longer serve God -- I had lost my desire!. I went to the dr!. and got an antidepressant!. I now feel better (and I want to continue to be a Christian)!. BUT, I still have bad days!. Like today, it is raining and I was hurt by something that happened at church!. I feel very low and depressed!. It just happens!. But tomorrow is another day!Www@Answer-Health@Com

talk to your doctor!.!.!.you might need a stronger dose of medicine if your symptoms have returned!. Also talking to your psychiatrist about these feelings can help (like you said you have a meeting with him soon)!. Do you have anyone close to you you could talk to!? If not, try researching a depression support group!. Sometimes it helps just to talk to someone about your feelings!.

Good luck!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

probably this medication isnt the best for you, so tell the doctor everything youre telling us, you should get another medication and probably another dose so you feel better sooner cause if its not working for you anymore its gonna be still that circle in which things get worse everytime!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression can last for years!. its all up to you to change!. first you need to vhange the way you look at things!. dont always look at the downside!. things could be a lot worse!. and God hasnt abandond you!. i promise!. he is right by ur side!. he is just waiting for you to call on him!. pray!. open up!. let him in!. God will help you get through if you let him!. and have faith!.

I have been suffering with this illness all my life and looks like it never goes away!. But remember try to remember that God is always there to talk to when you can't find anyone else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well you have to realize that just cuz you take meds that dosent mean your not going to have a bad day or two!. s*** happens and you gotta deal with it!.!.!.meds are a crutch not a total healer that comes from within you have to start internally by changing your negative, depressed thoughts, into positive ones, and this wil take a long time to acheive, its a long try and fail many times process!.!.!.!.and all the things you want to do in life but youve held back for some reason you need to do!.!.!.!.this is what i did i imagined my psychiatrist wrote a list of things i want to accomplish like fear of public places ,and i make myself do it, as a goal!.and im doing alot better at stuff!.!.!.!.!.!.!.i really beleive you can create your own happiness!.!.or hell !.!.!.just by your mind!.!.!.wel sorry but God cant help everybody all the time(or ever cuz i dont beleive in him)!.!.its a pick and choose thingWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have a friend who has been through similar!. The hardest thing we found is getting her to talk to someone!. She feels if she talks to a professional they will take her away!. Once she has been persuaded to talk to someone she feels so much better and gets back on new meds and back to life!. The first sign of depression we talk a lot about her contacting her doctor or therapists and talking straight away!. The more confident she gets with them and trusts them the quicker she asks for help!. And the quicker she gets over the depression and gets on with a happy life!.

So my advice from experience is to ask for help as soon as you realise you are getting depressed!. If you do you will spend less time depressed and more time happy!. The more you ask for help the more people are happy to help you because you are not doing something stupid!.

Please, please ask for help now, don't wait untill it's to late!. Soon can be to late if you are already doing things that you "are not proud of"!. Now is better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Life is difficult for many of us nowadays!.!.!.when one truly looks around we eventually realize that our lives could be worse! We are surrounded by some who manage to hide what they are really struggling through, as well as those who simply learn to handle challenegs better than others!.!.!.this does not mean they aren't depressed at times or struggling too!.!.!.it simply may mean they have accepted challenges instead of allowing self-defeat to take over! You may be better discussing with your doctors adjusting the medications you are or have been on!.!.!.OR actually change them to a totally different anti-depressant! Sometimes a doctor will prescribe another medication to be taken along with one you have adjusted to because one enhances the chemical balance while another does its intended job!.!.!.Depression is different & unique for everyone!.!.!.we all go through it at sometime or another!.!.!.our brains have the same chemicals that sometimes require a little help in stabilizing or strengthening!.!.!.what may work for one does not mean it will for another~ I applaud you for recognizing your changes & for continuing medical intervention~ Take care~
