Can a nurse lose her license if she goes to rehab for drug abuse?!

Question: Can a nurse lose her license if she goes to rehab for drug abuse!?
I have a friend that is addicted to a painkiller!. If she commits herself to a rehab center, can she lose her license!? She has went to a detoxing center where they flushed her system out!. She only was in there for 4 days!. They are pressuring her to go into a 30 day program where she will be in a rehab center!. She doesn't want to lose her nurses license, so she is refusing to go!. I know that if she doesn't go, she will start abusing again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
She better not tell anybody she's nurse at the center!. Also if she goes to rehab, she should not tell her job that she going to drug rehab!. I'm a nurse and I work with somebody that had a addiction, he didn't loose his licence, He had to go through a lot to keep it though!. She may have flushed her system out, but some jobs want a hair sample for a drug test!. All your drug past is in that!!! She better cut her hair off and start a clean slate!!! Check out allnurses!.com forums!. There is a thread about nurses with addictions!. Good info there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She might, but doubt it!.
What she might loose her job over is how she obtained the drugs in the first place!.
If she is stealing them, then ya she might just loose her job!. Stealing is against most work places and against the law!. As well as morally wrong!.

4 days in detox, do you think just maybe someone at work knows where she was at!? She had to give a reason why she was not at work, right!?

Or is she one of these that goes into possible "targets" homes and takes care of them!? If she has one of these jobs she needs to loose her license!.!.!.!.!.!.these people are not healthy and need people they can trust in there homes!.

So just depends on the situation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She shouldn't be a nurse if she is associated with drugs anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
