Serotonin Syndrome?!
Question: Serotonin Syndrome!?
How do you get it exactly!? What are the symptoms!? Most importantly how long does it last!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
You get it by having too much serotonin going through your brain at one time!. Normally it happens from mixing two serotonergic drugs like if someone that was on prozac too a bunch of DXM or MDMA, or if someone took both DXM and MDMA!. Not sure of the symptoms!. Usually you should see a doctor about it!. If it is really severe it can cause death like in the case of MDMA and an MAOI!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Serotonin syndrome is a rare, but potentially life-threatening adverse drug reaction that results from intentional self-poisoning, therapeutic drug use, inadvertent interactions between drugs, or the recreational use of certain drugs!. It is an iatrogenic (i!.e!. caused by medical treatment) toxidrome (from toxic + syndrome)!. It is most commonly referred to as serotonin syndrome, but the terms serotonin toxicity or serotonin toxidrome are more accurate as they reflect the fact that it is a form of poisoning!.[1][2] Rarely it may also be called serotonin storm!.
Serotonin syndrome is not a spontaneous drug reaction; it is a consequence of excess serotonergic activity at central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral serotonin receptors!. This excess serotonin activity produces a specific spectrum of clinical findings which may range from barely perceptible to fatal!.[3]

I have taken ecstacy while being on prozac (years back when I was young and dumb) and I felt the effects even more so and wasn't right afterwards for weeks, (felt pretty much manic) although I don't think I had serotonin syndrome, taking 2 different drugs than affect serotonin levels so much is never a good idea!Www@Answer-Health@Com
