What do you do when you get so stressed?!


Question: What do you do when you get so stressed!?
I am a 21 y/o woman with a 20mth old daughter, my mom lives with us and helps me out ALOT with her and i go to college and just got a job as a waitress!. I've been under alot of stress since i had my daughter and i go regularly to a therapist because when i was 9 1/2 mths preg!. my best friend of 12 yrs passed away in a car wreck and that literally crushed me to no end!. Im on celexa and it doesn't really work i've told my doctor and he's thinking of some other pill, i also have bipolar and ADHD, i break down so easy and i even take time for my self, but here lately i can just be sitting here at the computer and just cry and i know im depressed that's what my celexa is for, i just want to know what some of you do to help you when you think there is nothing else to hang onto!. I just need a friend too, so any advice!? Thanks =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all I want to applaud you on staying in school when you have so much else going on! You should REALLY be proud of yourself about that!. Second I would suggest trying to find someone who provides counseling and medication because they are the person who talks to you on a regular basis so they know what medication is best for you!. If you get stressed try talking a jog or going out and doing something active because exercise has been proven to help cure depression without medicine!. Also I won't lie and say that the road you're headed down is easy because it will be hard to find the right fit in medicine and therapist but once you find the right fit you'll know it so don't give up! If you are having a particularly bad day I suggest going on youtube and typing in laughing babies because those videos never fail to make me smile!. this is not the advice part!.!.!.but what i do, pretty much used to do, when i get stressed is cut!. arms, legs, whatever was available on my body!. BAD IDEA!! needless to say!. don't do that!. what i've really found helps me is kick boxing!. i have depression and extreme generalized anxiety, but my therapist doesn't believe in medicine, so shes helping me find ways to get rid of built up sadness and anxiety and stress that led to my cutting!. Kick boxing has helped me TREMENDOUSLY and i've only been in it for 4-5 weeks!. depending on where you take it, you can get 45 minutes or more of time to just beat the living crap out of a punching bag, all the while learning self defense! its great!.

I think about God!. I know alot of people aren't religious, but if you are or maybe are thinking about it, it really helps!. It's knowing that when you have nothing else, you know you will always have him!. It is a truly unconditional love that is not possible in humans!. I tend to question why he let's things happen!. But, see, God doesn't want you to hurt or be in pain!. Certain things happen and we may not know why until we get up there!. Your friend dying is going to change your life, or someone else's life in a way that you probably won't understand!. Focus on your daughter, though!. She needs her mommy, fully fledged and dependable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound too young to be experiencing so much!. I would say you firstly need to change your view on life!. Get a positive thinking book out of the library and always think positively about yourself and your situation!. Hard at first, I know!. But trust me, it gets easier!. If you need a friend, find a playgroup in your area!. You will gain support from other moms and your daughter will gain friends also!. Take your mom along!. It would be an outing for both of you!. Many community groups have playgroups and contact the national playgroup association in your country (not sure where you are) Depression is hard, but easier if you try and gain a little control!. You have it, it doesn't have you!. You are in charge of it!. Make goals for yourself!. Little ones at first!. This could be as simple as planning the weekly budget, menu or going on a health and fitness program!. Organise a picnic for you, your mom and daughter in a nice area!. Your daughter will love this!. Happy mother = happy family!. You will be in my thoughts and I know what you are going through!. I have told you what works for me and I hope it helps!. You may also like to try volunteer work!. The more you do, the more you feel you can do so get active and start achieving! The world is your oyster!. God always throws things at us to see how strong we are!.
