Question: Was this an abusive strip search!?
When I was 14 I was sent to a wilderness treatment camp,keep in my mind that I was NOT court ordered or in any trouble with law!. Upon arriving to the center I was ordered into a small 5x5 room, about five minutes later male staff greated me and shortly explained that I would be stripped searched!. After taking off everything but my underwear I turned away from the staff member searching and covered my penis (as I am uncircumcised and very embarrassed at the time about that) at which time they both started to yell at me to turn around and then yelled for me to drop my hands to my sides!. After this I was ordered to put my hands up and spread my legs shoulder width apart!. It started by them checking my hair, opening my mouth, under arms, etc!. Then one staff memeber asked me if I was circumcised I said no he told me to push my foreskin back of which he made me hold it for a couple seconds!. Then he had me lift my scrotum, turn around, bend over legs wide apart spread my butt cheeks +coughWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you were sent by court, I know it is not illegal!. By volunteering, unsure!. See, places like that!.!.!.there can be NO DRUGS allowed and the point is to DETOX the people there!. Drugs can be in the oddest places and I know this is all commonplace!. Chances are, when going you had to sign something!. I doubt it would be considered abusive for any legal retaliation purposes!.!.!.but these are procedures they use when you go to Jail or Rehab homes for drug use!. For mental health purposes, I suppose it could scar you and cause you to have "abuse" memories and thoughts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
that sure is humiliating!. I can't say if it was abusive or not!. If you mean a drug treatment camp, than they I can see why they needed to do a strip search!.!.!. but for other treatment camps, I am not sure!. Either way a strip search as far as I know only requires a cavity search and a naked look overWww@Answer-Health@Com

They do that in jail and prison because inmates bring in confiscated things and have been found in the places they were looking on you!. It is very humiliating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If this was a legal drug treatment camp, then they weren't wrong!. If it was just a wilderness camp, you were violated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that was definitely excessive!. There shouldn't be any reason why a 14 year attendee of a wilderness treatment camp would have to expose his penis/scrotum for a search, usually in a common strip search!. I'm not absolutely sure though!.!.!. State of presence is also an important factor!. You should seek a legal advisor on that one!.
