breathe this is only going to last a couple of seconds nothing bad is going to happen you are not going to have a heart attack or die the adrenline in your body is working overtime you need to take your mind to a quiet place and clear it of all the phobias that triggered it off place your hands on your abdomen and concentrate on your breathing and count 1,2,3 hold 1,2,3 relax feel you abdomen rise and fall try to purchase the books written by Bev Aisbett living with it,living it up,letting it go and the book of itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your thoughts are probably feeding the panic isn't it!? I have the same problem and I'm finally getting treatment after 4 years of dealing with it!.

Are panic attacks a constant occurrence!? Have you considered getting professional counselling and/or getting on meds!?

A book that is absolutely fantastic for panic attacks is called "Living With IT" - look it up on eBay!.

Stay strong and keep thinking realistic!. Your panic attacks will end soon and they aren't dangerous!. Panic attacks are caused by the fear of your symptoms - eg!. I start to get anxious and panicky when my throat tightens and this causes a panic attack for me!.

I have them and it's the crappiest feeling ever!. It's so hard to think straight when you are so pumped on adrenaline!. I just repeat over and over to myself, "I am fine, I am fine!." It sounds so simple but it works for me!. Try and distract yourself by talking to someone, playing with a pet, reading some stupid gossip magazine!. My doctor says they only last 10-20 minutes, but the after-effects can be draining!. Just do whatever you need to do to calm down, and take it easy and baby yourself afterwards!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
