I feel like I'm about to snap. How can I feel better?!


Question: I feel like I'm about to snap!. How can I feel better!?
I'm feel like I'm about to snap, every thing I do seems to frustrate me!. I can even sit down an play a video game with out feeling anxious and stressed out!. I'm a junior in HS right now and I'm really stressed!. The college application process seems like the huge maintain to climb!. My dad expects me to get into MIT, Princeton, or Columbia!. Yet, he said

I suffer from anxiety as well!. I can totally relate to you on the college application process!. I am about to graduate and the entire process caused me to relapse back into anorexia (which has been ongoing for 6 years)!. I felt the pressure that you are feeling!. And I have that same friend!. She got into her top school early decision!. I got rejected from all of mine; except my safety!. But the thing is; I didn't go for what I wanted!. I let the pressure and expectations of others and society get the best of me and that is why I failed!. You still have time to make decisions for yourself!. Choose schools with programs and locations that you like!. Don't go overboard with college prep!. And leave time to relax!

Explain to your father that this is too overwhelming and if you can't handle it now; come fall for college, you will be a wreck!. See if you can see a therapist or go on medication to relieve yourself of the stress!.

What's most important is taking care of you!. Tell someone about the suicidal thoughts!. Let yourself be vulnerable and get the help that will last you a lifetime!. When you tackle college, take it with an open mind and a grain of salt and just remember, it doesn't matter what you look like on paper; the right school will choose you for you!.

Remain calm and relax!. Don't think about the pressures!. The more you focus on the pressures, the more you loose focus on your goal!. Just do your best and before you know it everything will fall into place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I feel the same way sometimes!. For pretty much all my life I've been a straight A kid in honors and advanced placement classes!. And I have friends who are in 6 AP classes, getting all A's, some of how are student body president!. Lately, I've been struggling to keep a B in my honors english class, and have B's in about everything else!. I have anxiety issues!. I have had panic attacks, and one of major stressors for me is school and the future, ei!. college!. Anxiety is often occurring with depression, and I can relate to having suicidal thoughts as well, and having pressure from your parents!. I've recently started seeing a psychologist, and that could be good for you too!. But I know how that's hard to bring up to your parents!.
