After 20 years of a pack a day I have quit for 9 days now.?!

Question: After 20 years of a pack a day I have quit for 9 days now!.!?
I am experiencing more anxiety now then I did on my first 3 quit days, where there say those are the hardest!.
Is my anxiety due to a craving (a lot of the time I feel anxioius but dont actually crave a smoke at that time but do think in my head that if I could smoke at that moment I would feel better) or is my axiety unrelated to smoking but somthing that my smoking "hid" over the years, and is it surfacing now!.
Any thoughts would be appreicatied!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think the second week might be the hardest!. Just tough it out!.!.!. the anxiety will come and go!. The third week will be a lot easier!.

Your smoking didn't hide the anxiety that you are feeling, it is what created it!. If you had never smoked, you wouldn't be feeling that anxiety at all!.

If you start getting angry a lot, just remember that is from the smoking!.

Keep with it!. You will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's normal to be experiencing anxiety over the first few weeks because your body is so used to having something like that there and it's just starting to adapt to it!. Just stick do your commitment to quit and keep telling yourself it's worth it in the end, you'll be much healthier!. I should know, my parents just quit like a month ago lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i smoked for 3 years and havnt had a ciggerette in 8 months now!.

say that you HAVE quit!. not that you are trying to quit!. be proud about yourself for not doing it!. brag about it people kinda and tell them that you havnt had a cigg in *how many days here* bc when they say ''dang i wish i could that '' it make it that much easier!.

the nicotine is out of your system now of course its just the physical habbit!.

by the way good job!. the longer you go without one the easier it is to say no!.

and dont think that you can just have one either! bc its easier the pick the second one up after the first one if you do pick it up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good for you! Keep up the good work and do something to distract your self when the craving hits you! Go for a walk read a good book start a new Hobie!. Just do not give in to the urge and remember that as each day goes by it will get easier to take!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
