Hey friend: I am a mom and I have a daughter and I would want my daughter to come to me for help!.I believe most mothers would, but if you have one of those that is neglectful, go to a friends mom or a church person, or a dad!? and think about what you want to say before you approach them!. they will want to know!.!.!.!. how long have you felt this way, are you on drugs!? legitimate question, have you been abused!? is anyone harming or threatening you!? then proceed to tell them calmly how you feel and that you would like to see a doctor!. speak from your heart and tell them the truth!. If they do not seek professional help for you, then talk to somebody at the school or the church!. Good luck dearling, if you were mine, I would take care of you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you start with your mom it will save a lot of guilt and pain later when someone else tells her or she finds out you told someone else first!.

Pick a time when it is quiet, soon, and say mom, I got a problem, and i need your help!.

Just let her know what is going on and reassure her that it is nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of!. Depression happens to most girls at one time or another!.

Tell her that a professional told you that the only sure way to get over depression is to get help!. And not just pills, but some one to help you get at the root thoughts that cause you to be depressed so that you may get off meds over time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ummm well I will tell you what I did!.!.you might or might not like it but here goes!.!.!.I actually cut which I discourage anyone from doing b/c it can be very dangerous and addictive, but anyways back on topic!.!.!.I was really feeling sad one day and was ready to get some help so I went to school and "Accidentally" (hint hint it seems like I didn't me to but I really did) flashed my arm in front of my teacher who happened to work at the ER in a hospital on the weekends!. She had a talk with me and sent me to my guidance counselor she made me call my mom!.!.!. and my mom put me in therapy!. I'm guessing that if you're wondering how to tell your mom then mostly likely your still in school so if you like that idea then an example for you would be to make an SUICIDAL comment in front of an Adult or Teacher!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a mother and I know that if my child was going through something like this I would want them to tell me!. I would be honest with her!. Just tell her exactly what you've told us!. That you are having trouble sleeping, troubles concentrating, the weight gain, the bad mood, & ESPECIALLY THE SUICIDE THOUGHTS!. Why your mother hasn't noticed some of those signs is a good question tho!? Plz, if u are truly having those thoughts tell your mother, your concelor at school, ur aunt, tell someone so u can get some help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have her sit down and then tell her theirs no way to make it easy, also you could just have her take you to the doctors and tell them!.
you could try writing a note or a little speech and just read that off, its reall hard but you just have tot tell them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

why don't you either tell her exactly what you told us or print this post out and give it to your mom!? Tell her you are very depressed and need professional help for it because of suicidal thoughts!. I hope you get better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should go: "Mom, I've been having thoughts of suicide lately!.!.!." Then, she'll probably freak out and take you to the psychiatrist right awayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe you could just say "Hey mom I've been feeling really sad lately, and sometimes I just feel like dying" and then maybe she'd let you go see a counselor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just go ahead and tell her!. Your mom should understand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suggest that you seek a counselor right away!.!.!.depression is hard to get out of by yourself-I should know!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You've come to the right place! This is a great outlet to vent your depression because you have no fear of social repercussions!.

I think your friends are a great outlet to turn to, however, I'm not suggesting that you reveal to them that you sometimes think about killing yourself!. Everyone will say, "good friends stick by you no matter what - if they abandon you because you have depression, then they're not real friends!." Well, the truth is that even if they do leave you, that doesn't make them bad friends - or at least I wouldn't hold it against them!. They'll stick by you no matter what, but within reason!. I think mental conditions are a bit out of that reason, simply because depression is contagious! If you're miserable all of the time, you'll make those around you feel miserable!. That said, you have every right to vent to people!. Talk to your friends, but do so tastefully!. Don't mention your depression any more than a person with a health condition would, like someone who has asthma!. Hang with your friends to get away from the depression, and to avoid suicidal thoughts!.

Now as for your mom, I think honesty would work just fine!. It'll come as a shock, but if you're opening up and admitting you have a problem, then you've just taken the first step towards recovery and a better life!.

Keep positive, get treatment, and know that people care about you!. You are important, you are entitled to happiness, and you have every reason to live!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
