I need advice on the red tape of being an adult with autism?!

Question: I need advice on the red tape of being an adult with autism!?
I am a single middle aged woman who has past troubles in nurology when I was a child (brain tumor, epilepsy, learning problems), but when I turned 18, I was cut off from assistance through my parents, but I think they were just tired of taking care of me and I had never heard the world autism back then!. I contacted the autism of my state and they referred me to someone in my area, who then referred me to someone else in my area who come to find out deals with children in the schools!. Then she referred me to someone else, and so on and so on!. I don't have any medical insurance and make minimum wage at a part time job!. I am currently living with a relative who is not at a point of able to assist me (finacially or with a place to live) and I am going to have to leave!. Contacting the non-profits for autism only got me in a run around of being given other peoples numbers and getting know where!. What do I do!? I am sorry to sound so desperate, but I feel it is becoming!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi I am Tim I am an adult with brain damage epilepsy and depression, The thing I wanted to warn you about is you are going to get a lot of trouble because you are working!.!.!. I know what you are making isn't enough to house a hampster but they don't care!. What you should probably do is go to get a diagnosis that is difficult because you don't have medical insurance!. take any records you may be able to get your hands on and go to social security!. You can try to call for an appointment if you are lucky you will get one!. Take it!. If not just go and stand in line with all your records and talk to whomever you can talk to!. Hopefully they can line you up for an evaluation!. The other thing is since you are underemployed you might check with your state employment agency and see about job training and what kinds of things they might have available!. Again you probably will need any records you may have!. The epilepsy is a biggie and the brain tumor would also be a biggie for getting you services!. I just got help finding a new job by our state carreer training services!. If you need training then maybe they could do that for you!. There are options out there for you!. Don't forget the foodstamps and whatever you can do to get help too!. You have a history of other illnesses you can use them to your benifit!. You may be having peteit mal seizures and not realizing it that they are not controled!?!? People always think of epilepsy as grand mal seizures!. I have peteit mal and partial motor seizures and they are finally under control!. Please feel free to contact me!.!. You may have to remind me what we talked about because I forget easily ok!?

Take care you are not alone out there!. TimWww@Answer-Health@Com

I was going to offer similar answers Stella!. Give Social Security a call, and don't give up! These people never make it easy, whether you have a disability or not!. Don't ever give up, you're absolutely entitled to assistance!. You have my support, take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

firts of all you need to get and actuall diagnosis of autism, If you are making min!. wage and only working part time, u should apply for medical benifits through your state!. They should also have some programs for emergency housing and job training programs so you will be able to get a better job!.
Good luck I know its hard to ask for services through public assistance, but swallow your pride and do it!. It will be alot of paper work also, But if it becomes to overwhelming, ask for help at the office!. It is what they are there for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
