See a different psychiatrist for a second opinion!. Meds for life is hard to accept and if you aren't behind the diagnosis, you probably won't be compliant!.

Part of your answer may be in how you respond to antidepressants!. The typical response to them by those with bipolar is A!. they work and then do nothing, B!. they do nothing, C!. they cause agitation and irritation (which can seem like anxiety), and, D!. they cause hypo/mania!. Also, if mood stabilizers resolve the anxiety, that's a big clue!. If they don't, it doesn't necessarily rule out bipolar!. It could mean you have both or you're on the wrong stabilizers!. Dunno!. Just sayin' is all!. Best bet may be to get checked out by another pdoc if the one you have is set on bipolar!. Besides, even if you do have bipolar, it doesn't sound like it's being fully treated by the doc that you have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar mania, hypomania, and depression are symptoms of bipolar disorder!. The dramatic mood swings of bipolar disorder do not follow a set pattern!. Depression does not always follow mania!. A person may experience the same mood state several times -- for weeks, months, even years at a time -- before suddenly having the opposite mood!. Also, the severity of mood phases can differ from person to person!.

Daily life becomes a constant state of worry, fear, and dread!. Learn about the excessive worry that accompanies generalized anxiety!. Does it sound familiar!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your question itself betrays your state of anxiety!. P;ease understand that you go to a doctor tell him about your problem, that is, the symptoms that appear to be not normal phenomena, and it is for the Doctor to analyse your physical or mental state of health and suggest remedies to bring that state to norma again!. So you only do what you ought to be doing, that is see the Doc and let him ask you questions to find out what is the real ailment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As far as what words to use, I really don't know!. You could look up both disorders on a reputable website and do a checklist so you know what you want to talk about!. Don't insult him by saying he's wrong; just explain that you've been thinking about it and you'd like to discuss it a little bit!. The main thing is to maybe list your points on an index card or a piece of paper--or even write him a letter and give that to him instead!. I've done that before!. If you have problems with anxiety it makes it that much harder to communicate with your doctor because you're tense going in and that makes you forget points that you want to make, or he'll ask a question that's not in the same order you had planned to discuss it, and it will throw you off completely!. That's really the best advice I can give you!. Sorry it's not much!. Good luck with it :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

just show him all the times that you have gone to the emergency room because of the anxiety attacksWww@Answer-Health@Com
