If a person has been blind since birth they wouldn't have a concept of 'seeing' as we know it!. Their concept of seeing/looking would be through others senses and, as such, dreaming would be experienced without a visual component!. But, if there was a visual experience in their dreaming, it would not be identified as 'visual' to them as they lack the sighted definition of what seeing entails (color, for example)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Of corse they can, your eyes don't have any effect on the way you think things or imagine things in your head!. Thats your brains job!. Also, when your asleep your eyes shut down (when you close your eyelids, the black that you see is not the back of your eyelids, it's because your eyes have shut down)!.

Those who have never learned to see, such as those born without eyes, experience dreams through other senses, such as sound, touch, and smell!. Those who have been blinded by disease, or accident, dream as sighted people do, more or less, depending on how long they have been blind, and from what age!. Blind people who have later been operated on surgically, only perceive color, and light, but it is all a confused jumble, because we see with a combination of our eyes, and brains, working together in tandem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
