I am on Effexor XR 75mg and just started today. How long before it starts workin!

It works good but if you ever decide to come off it, don't be stupid!. Its a ***** to come off unless you step down gradually!. It'll take a few weeks to get off it!. If you're depressed, it WILL make you feel better so don't worry about coming off just when you're starting!. It will dull your sex drive somewhat and orgasms won't be as intense (for most people) but its well worth the upside of feeling better!. Effexor takes two-three weeks to get the full effects!. In addition to this medication keep in touch with the prescriber!. If your depression becomes worse don't hesitate to call!. If I may also make a suggestion; this medication can also effect your libido!. I had my doctor switch my medication to Cymbalta and that has made drastic improvements sexually and has helped me stabilize the ups and downs and has made me feel so much better than effexor did!. probably at least 2 weeks!.!. and please use caution when yu think you don't need it anymore!.!. and you will!.!.!.!. you can't just stop this medication you must be weened off!.!.!. it's job is supposse to make you feel like you don't need it!.!. but it's doing it's job right!.!.!.
