Certainly not true, though there does seem to be a link between schizophrenia and CVD (cardiovascular disease)!. The cause of the link is, as yet, unknown!.

Schizophrenia affects women more than men!.

Not true!. Schizophrenia is very much a predominantly male disorder!. The reason for some thinking this, is the common misconception that schizophrenics have a 'split personality'!. This has nothing whatsoever to do with schizophrenia - it's a separate disorder known as Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly Multiple Personality Disorder) which does tend to affect far more women than men, possibly because women are more likely to have suffered abuse as children, especially if that abuse was sexual!.
Schizophrenia develops earlier in women!.
Schizophrenia develops earlier in men!.
