Did Bi-Polar Meds change who you were or your outlook on life?!

Question: Did Bi-Polar Meds change who you were or your outlook on life!?
I've already been through a lot of therapy and still am to deal w/ the emotional issues of the past!. I have bi-polar, anxiety, severe, ADHD, and a processing disability!. Yeah it runs in the family, my mom is bi-polar and my whole life I grew up w/ her yelling at me and my brother (I'm the oldest) telling me it was my fault she was sick and so on!.

It took me YEARS to get over the pain, and it effected my entire life! I couldn't make friends because I was so insecure (I still have problems today at 19, but I'm getting better)!.

My diagnosis of anxiety and panic disorder, was just recently changed to bi-polar about 2 months ago!.!.!. and I'm finally about to start treatment, w/ syraquel!. I have problems and some I feel may be my bi-polar, but I've never been any other way so I have no idea how they'll change!. I want to be a better gf, stronger person, and KNOW I can be a mom some day!. Did meds change those areas for you!? I do such STUPID emotional things sometimes!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I've been taking bipolar meds for over 10 years now!. Seroquel was one of the first!. I have switched drugs many times because of side effects or lack of effect!. Can't remember why I quit the Seroquel!. Mostly it was looking for the right cocktail to level out my moods!. Right now I am waiting for the big one!. Happens every 5 years!. It's overdue by a year now, and my meds, Lamictal and lithium may by why!. But overall, I don't think the meds have changed me or my outlook other than for the better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
