You can speak to a doctor the NHS does have a waiting list for councellors but if you stress the importance of the situation they may be able to fast track you!. Try and see a Dr you know to be a good listener!. Dont give up if you find someone unhelpful ask to see an alternative Dr!.

Every Dr is bound by the data protection act to keep information a secret but if they feel it necessary may disclose to your parents but will speak to you first!. Ask about this before your appointment if you feel uncomfortable about this!.

I would speak to your parents as the extra support may help you, but this is your decision!.

there are youth counselling services available!.!.!.a community health centre or youth support charity would be able to direct you to somewhere that is free!.!.!.

Counsellors are bound by law to respect confidentiality!.!.!.it is part of their professional ethical practise!.!.!.

sometimes there is a confidentiality conflict in the case of minors when the parent is paying the bill!.!.!.then it can become confused about WHO actually IS the client!.!.!.in my opinion, it should always be the person sharing the information!!

but if you were to go independently to a counsellor they are obliged to keep confidentiality with you and can only break it really if you inform them that you are going to kill someone and there is good reason to believe that you will actually do that!.!.!.other than that they are bound to keep what you say private!.!.!.

so check around and see what is available for free for youth and make an appointment!.!.!.because there will be something for you!.!.!.

another point, counsellors are a bit like mechanics!.!.!.some are ok and others are great, also we click with some people and not with others so dont worry if you have to shop around a little to find the right counsellor for you

Good luck, hope it works out :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your school should have a counselor but being a minor they might report back to your parents!.!.!.
