Is it still an eating disorder when people do this?!

Question: Is it still an eating disorder when people do this!?
A former anorexic and bulimic who stopped due to pregnancy and attaching with someone who made her feel "okay" at the time, like she didn't need to control herself all the time, has begun doing only SOME of the old behaviors!. They don't overdo anything, but sometimes spend a long time thinking upon what they would do if they wouldn't get caught and thrown into rehab for doing it!. They are slowly losing weight they've gained but very tempted to do lose it fast as they know they can, and only eat coz it makes them look more normal that way!. But inside they are not wanting to eat at all and can't help counting each bite, exercising off each calorie!.

How can such a person, without telling anyone, regain control!. The problem is related to something they can't fix, and also to something they want but cannot have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please don't try and think that the word "former" goes with anorexic or bulimic, it doesn't!. If this person is you, it's okay, but please talk to someone, and if not, please tell your friend to tell someone, anyone!. It's our secrets that keep us sick!. She will always have the thoughts, and urges to control everything she eats!. Ask her to take the word "normal" out of her vocabulary, as that is just a label that there really is no true definition, and it just causes more issues!.

I have lived with an anorexic mother my whole life, and being in the position I have been in, it's been hell!. I do not really have a mom, because her only focus is her eating disorder!. She has never been a mother in the true sense of the word, and I have spent my life watching her try to kill herself over food!. She has been to a treatment facility three times, and still just doesn't get it!. I do not have kids of my own, because I do not want them to grow up with a grandmother like that!. The pain and abandonment I feel because of her is indescribeable most of the time, and I have had to go through most of my teens and adult life on my own because she is so wrapped up in her own sick world!. We no longer have any type of relationship, and she really doesn't care!. Her brain has rotted into that of a child with ADHD, and even just having a conversation with her to me is annoying, because she has her own "agenda" going on in her head and NEVER listens to a word I'm saying!.

So!.!.!.!.!.if this is you!.!.!.I beg of you to please get help, and don't ever think you are "cured", if not for you then for your child!. You owe it to that child to get help, and get better!.!.!.It doesn't matter how you try to rationalize SOME of the behaviors, it's something there all the time!.!.!.!.!.whether it's some or all behaviors, you need to learn to live life and manage it at every level because it's always going to be in your life!.

I hope I did not offend, but help, whether it's you or not!. Good luck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if this 'person' is you, i dont know if it is technically an eating disorder but these symptoms are absolutely a problem and could eventually lead to possibly an eating disorder or something alike!.
perhaps this 'person' should speak to someone they trust because talking about the problem and acknowledging it helps or maybe contact some sort of organisation or if this person has access to any free professional councelling help!.
Ignoring it wont make it go away, and wil probably make it worse!.
not being a know all!.!. hope it somehow helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your question is kind of confusing!. But basically someone with anoreixa or bulimia have it for life!. Of course you can recover from it, but you will always have those thoughts!. And in times of stress or anxiety, you may go back to those behaviors because that is what you know, what you feel comfortable with!. As far as regaining control, seeing a therapist is really the only thing!. You will need to talk to someone!. Eating disorders go one of two directions, you either maintain such a low weight for so long, you get really sick and probably eventually die, or you get healthy!. It is very difficult to be somewhere in between!. If this is you or a friend or whoever, feel free to email me!. I would be more than happy to discuss this!. I know all of this from experience!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
