They do prescribe to people 18, but they have to warn you!. Some people blame it for their child's suicides!.!.!.but it might be the reasons they took the antidepressants in the first place!. Therapy AND antidepressants is the best treatment!. You would need to tell your parents to get either one, it's just a lot easier and more helpful that way!. Your parents could help you!.!.!.and watch at how you are emotionally!. etc/!.!.!.
They don't choose the dose by age, at least I really doubt it!. More on how they're effecting you, side effects!. You would probably have to change pills a lot, the first one doesn't always work!.!.!.!.complicated stuff!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get the medicine from your regular doctor, if they think you need it!. The reason they hesitate to give it to younger people is because of the turbulent mental state that is the essence of being a teenager!. If your depression is worse than the normal feelings of being "down," your doctor should not have a problem giving it to you, as long as you are closely monitored to make sure that it does not have a negative impact on you!. To put it more simply, it's not your size, it's the stage of development that your brain is in--after all, your brain will finish developing around when you're 21!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you call your doctor to make the appointment, tell then this is why and that you would like a minute with the doctor alone to talk to them about this!. I think it would be a good idea to talk to your parents about it, and if it's easier, you can do it at the doctors office!. Depression isn't something to be ashamed about, and it helps if the people in your life know about it!. You deserve excellent and effective treatment, so make sure you get it! It can definitely help to find a support group online or in your area, just to talk about it and know you're not alone!. Here are some sites to help you out:
