One of the most misunderstood side-effects of MJ and other 'herbal' drugs is the effect on coping skills!. By offering an immediate release from stress and tension, the brain quickly - in some cases immediately - learns to escape from day-to-day pressure instead of confronting and managing it!.

What you've got on your hands now is the very same pressure of living that you had BEFORE you used the drugs - only your brain has taught itself to 'flight' instead of 'fight!.' It's one of the signs of addiction, that the mind has become accustomed to withdrawing from the world instead of navigating through it!.

Good for you for sticking to the decision to escape addiction!. In time, the mind will re-learn healthy coping skills!. (The more healthy and drug-free friendships you have, the faster that learning will happen!. The more drug-using relationships you have, the slower and more painful the learning will be!.)

All you need now is some time and a good, positiive support network to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Weed does cause paranoia in some people!. I think it will go away with time, once it is completely out of your system, which might take a while since you said you did it everyday for the past year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
