Question: Bi-polar meds!?
I was diagnosed with bi-polar about 7 years ago, I have not taken meds for about 5 years now, I have met a wonderful man, he is worried about me, and thinks that I am in a manic mode!.!.!.he has even bought a book to read up on it, and has highlighted all the symptoms!.!.!.I believe he is right, I am trying to get back into the office with a doctor, what new meds are out there!? I used to take depakote but i hated all the weight gain, and i truly hated the antidepressants they gave me, (no emotions at all)!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you're just asking about new meds!.!.!.!.!.!. abilify and Lamictal!. Lamictal is a decent choice for people who swing towards the low side, abilify I've never used so wont commentWww@Answer-Health@Com
Have you ever tried Lithium!?
My BF is on that one and it seems to help him lots!. Other than the headache of having to have bloodwork done to maintain the right levels it has been wonder, and he really hasn't has alot of side effects from it - execpt for a small rash!. It can cause weight gain though, but can also cause weight loss!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
