Someone has to want help for you to give it to them!. You can try to do anything you want that you would think would help them!. But unless they truly want help there is not much you can do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He is in a severe manic state that is the swing half of bipolar at the very least!. I hesitate to say that he sounds like he is entering a schizophrenic break (due to the head banging and scribbling)!. Contact his parents NOW!. He needs real professional help asap and only they can get it for him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i fink u shud jus keep tryin 2 tlk 2 um bu u gta try n convince 2 get help wiou tryin ta force um!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try to get in touch with his family or his doctor or if all else fails contact social services and tell them you think he's at risk of either hurting himself or othersWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like your friend is suffering from depression!. Try to encourage him to get out the house!. Take him out for walks!. Ask him to help you with some jobs, like shopping, maybe you need something fixing!. Basically just encourage him to interact with the human race again!.

Try and bring up the subject of seeing a doctor, he might need to take some anti-depressants, or the doctor might suggest some other course of treatment!.

The scribbling on bits of paper, is probably his way of getting his feelings out!. Maybe get him some sort of storage for his papers, even an old cardboard box would do!. Just buy him the pads, he will probably appreciate them!.

Most importantly encourage him to see a doctor, as things could get a lot worse!. His symptoms could mean something more serious!. Schizophrenia for example!.

Good Luck and hop your friend gets the help he needs!. xWww@Answer-Health@Com

You may have to accept that there isn't much you can do right now to help your friend!. Have you tried talking to your friend's carer or parent!? I presume if he sits in his room all day somebody must be looking after him, providing him with food and clean clothes, going out to buy his fags for him!?
Try to encourage him to go out with you occasionally, and start doing things other teenagers do!.
I know it can be very difficult!. I have a nephew with ADHD!. He's now twenty and has managed to hold down a job for about a year, but it's been hard going!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
