Question: Depresstion!?
I am depressed a lot of the time!. do you have anyway to get over it!. mom says go outside and get some sun, step dad says to grow up and stop being a baby, ex boyfriend would hit me in the face if i talked about it! the only ones that understands me is my gandparents and my friend Sacha! What do you think that i should do!?!?!? Hurry and help me please!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to se your doctor and ask to be referred for counselling!. you shouldnt take medication because you are young, but you should certainly see a counsellor or psychotherapist and explore your feelings!.
your step dad is a bully!. depression is a genuine and debilitating illness and he should be more sensitive to how your feeling!.
your mum is partly right as vitamin d (from the sun) can be important and some people get depressed when they do not get enough sunlight!. also there is evidence to suggest that exercie can help depression!.
try to do some gentle exercise evryday eg a walk round the park in the daylight!. also make sure to eat a good diet, lots of fresh fish, vegetables, fruit, rice etc and not much junk food!.
try to get at least 8 hours sleep a night too, in a dark room!. try leaving your window open at night a little for fresh ar which can help you sleep better!.
if you drink alcohol or smoke then stop as it will not help!. obviously same goes if you take any drugs or anything!.(not from the doctor i mean!. if you on prescription obviously dont stop, but if you are on prescription meds check this with your pharmacist or doctor as some drugs cause depression)
if your ex would have hit you this may be an indiction of some of the things you need to deal with!.
please go and see our doctor and tell him how you feel and whats going on

Im a Buddhist so my personal views on this are that you have the power within your self to fight this!.
I would also suggest talking openly to a close friend like Sacha or relative (your grandparents) if your christian talk to god!.
getting out in the sun will also help because of the vitamin D
the worst thing you could do is isolate yourself from everyone else!.

It sounds like you have no support at all from your mom and step dad!.!.!.what about your father, is he an option to talk to!?
You need to have someone who is an adult to talk to and maybe your grandparents aren't right for the job either as they will not know how to help you!. Can you try talking to a school counselor or even your best friends parents!? If you can go to your family doctor and talk to them they would probably refer you to someone to talk to as well!. -You could be vitamin D deficient and taking supplements would help!.
-You could exercise!. This releases endorphins, which make you feel happy!.
-Eat healthily

If these do not make you feel better, see your doctor!. Clinical depression is caused by chemicals in the brain and it usually does not go away on its own!. If you are diagnosed, you can receive counseling and/or anti-depressant drugs depending on your needs and wants!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh i am so sorry you are feeling thsi way!. I hate it when people dont take depression seriously!. I mean sometimes from the outside a person seems to have it all and you could not understand why they could feel so down!. But the fact is if you feeling a certain way then it real to you and tahts what matters!.

You need to get to the bottom of why you feel this way!. work!? school!? family!? history!? self image!? confidence!?
If you dont know what is it concentrate on the future remember the good things you have achieved!. It sounds weird but i make bright collages of things taht inspire me and put them on my wall!. I make a new page for my calendar every month and cover it in bright things and think about what i can achieve in that month!.

Its really hard but jsut keep going!. Talk to the people that will listen and remember you are loved!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are often depressed and it has occured for more than a month or so I'd suggest you seriously consider talking to a professional!. It doesn't mean you're crazy or weird, everyone is susceptable to bouts of depression!.

In the meantime, you should get daily doses of sunlight if possible and start excercising (both activities release natural chemicals in the brain like seratonins which boost moods)!. Try changing your diet, eating fresh vegetables and taking a multi-vitamin!.

Finding a new hobbie that you're really interested in may help too!. Stay away from negative people, and definitely report ANYONE who physically attacks you! That is NOT OK!

Some people have luck using aromatherapy in treating depression!. Experiment and find a scent that makes you feel good, then keep it around your room when you need a quick pick-me-up!.

Most of all, I'd say not to give up hope!. Depression can be a temporary setback, and there are plenty of ways to help get over it!. Please talk to someone you trust about this, and don't take any medications that aren't prescribed for you, as many depression medications can have serious side-effects!.

Depression, if serious enough, may need to be treated just like any other illness!.

Or, just spend more time with the people you like being around!. Im sorry if you parents don't beleive you, I know what that feeling is like!. Just hopeless!.

I would say, just spend time with your grandparents and see if they could set you an appointment with a therepist or something!.
Maybe you just need to talk to someone, and just sort of vent out on!. And if its more serious than that, you might have to take some kind of drug, or ani-depressant!.

as long as you have your friend and support, then keep going forward!. I don't want you to look back!. I know its hard not to think about the bad things that might have happened, but think about what you can accomplish in the future!.
Look up to something better and bigger than you!. whatever that may be!.
Also find a sanctuary, or a place where only you go to think!. I go to the back of my property and think!.
i also do things that i love to do!. Instead of starting bad habits, like cutting, (some people do when depressed)!.!.!.i play my piano!.

its a good way to vent!.!.!.don't look back and hold your head up instead of looking down!.!. remember it can always be worse!. Even when it feels like it cant!.

I'm sorry they don't take you seriously!.
Get an appointment at your doctors!.!.talk to them about it!. See if they can start you on Lexapro 10 or 20 mg!.!.or which ever they think is best for you!. They may need to talk to you first and get some answers to make sure that they give you what you NEED!. I am on anti-depressents and they have def!. changed my life! Of course they dont fully take it away!.!.!.but it takes alot more to set me off in a depressed mood!.

go to a psychiatrist!. thats what i did!. im 13 and they said i have some signs of depression or manic depression!. turns out its anger management!? hmmmm!. odd!. lol!. well go to a psychiatrist, thats what i had to tell my mom!. it was hard but if you tell over the phone then it might make things easier for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to pin-point what you are depressed about!. You will not be able to find relief unless you are able to accept your problems!.
However, you may want to consider going to the doctor!. Sometimes they can give you some medicine to help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm am so glad you broke up with your ex!. Go to a school counselor or hang out more with ur ppl that understand you!. Take up a new hobby!. Meet new people!. My best advice!.!.!.
