Answers:
I was told once a counsellor or psychiatrist is suppose to be helping not adding to your troubles so you were right to get away from him!.
Your husband sure loves to keep you on edge the sod, hes using you illness against you!.
I think you would more likely get help with your kids they don't take kids away from some one who has up and down days!.
Find a new specialist (psychiatrist) ASAP
Oh and tell your husband to take a hike!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

frankly, I'd find another psychiatrist, if you leave your husband, no one is going to take your kids away from you!.!.!. for her to have said that was not only cruel it was a lie!. (if indeed that is what she said)
Having no trust in your psychiatrist, she cannot do you much good anyway, so it would be wise to find another in whom you can develop some trust!.!.!.!. nothing happens if you can't be truthful, nothing gets resolved!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you should tell your psychiatrist how you feel!. Otherwise you are defeating the purpose of going to therapy!. You would be risking losing your kids more if you don't open up!. Getting things out in the open with your psychiatrist is hard to do, but is the best thing for you to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should so he can put you on meds!. honestly i feel the same way you do and i am like 80% over my depression nad anxiety!. you have to take your meds and if they dont work try new meds and PRACTICE PRACTICE coping skills!. let me know if there is anything i can do to help, im sure your a great mom and a wonderful personWww@Answer-Health@Com

You must tell him everything!. It is the only way you will get better and stay with your husband and children!. You can't have your children taken away from you based on a diagnosis alone!. You would have to mistreat them or neglect them first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hard question and to be honest only you can make that decision ,if you think you can get better and able to handle them after you get help id consider it,also take into how is thier life now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely tell your doctor how you feel!. That's the only way you can get the help you need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would open up and explain how you feel!. I think you have been misinforned about your children!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea u should cuz if u lie they will not be able to treat u with the right methods and u would be going there for no reasin

so just tell him or her how u realy fell!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ASK FOR A DIFFERENT PSYCH !.!.!.
ine that doesn't break up familiesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you need to find a new therapist <is this one working for your hubby!?> or start standing up and admitting yes I have problems but I am taking responsibility for them!. Are you a danger to yourself or your children!? That's the main reason to remove the children!. Your never going to benefit from therapy if you don't open up and be honest!. I only know what you have put here and therapist's usually don't just make threats unless you have a really bad one!. Talk to a lawyer, he can offer advice on losing the kids if you and hubby split up!.!.!.!.!.!.just be brutally honest so he/she can give you the best advice!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would tell the your doctor how you are feeling!. They cant help you if they dont know what is really going on!. I would also tell them why you are worried about telling them!. I dont think you are necessarily risking loosing your kids but I dont know all of the details!. BUt I have a friend that was told the same thing, and she even tried to kill herself twice and she still got to keep her kids once she got out of the hospital!. And if you open up and are really trying to get better than there is no reason for you to loose your kids!. And opening up shows you are trying to work on your problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Personally, I wouldn't see the same person to manage my meds and be my therapist!. If s/he isn't doing a good job on the meds, it's easy to blame me instead of dealing with the meds not being right!. Not saying all would go there, but it's an open door that I would rather not have open!. So, my suggestion is to find a good psychiatrist who specializes in mood disorders to manage your medication, and to also find a good therapist to help you manage your life with the illness!. Btw, depression is part of bipolar, it is not a separate illness!. OCD and anxiety can be as well!. If you are symptomatic, these symptoms my just be symptoms of bipolar and not illnesses of their own!. Then again, OCD and anxiety can coexist with BP!.

Anyway, I'd find two separate providers while taking it on yourself to be totally med compliant!. That's not something you should need a doc or therapist to keep you doing!. And, as long as you are not abusing or neglecting your children, the system cannot take them away!. However, the issue you might face is who would win in a custody battle!. That is a bit different than social services swooping in and calling you an unfit parent!.

~I have bipolar, a psychiatrist and a separate therapist!. It works well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the reason and purpose to consult a therapist is solely to help YOU to work through issues in your life!. in this case it does not realy matter if it has anything to do with spouse, children, depression or anything else!. the therapist will not be able to help you if you purposly withhold information from her!.
as far as your children are concerned the family and children services will not remove your children from you unless they see a danger for the children do to your behavior and/or mental illness!. as lond as the history of your MI does not show attempted suicide, psychotic episodes or things of such nature they will not get involved unless ordered to do so by the court!.
i would recommed you have a very frank and open talk with your therapist and if you personaly feel that you are not getting anywhere with he then ask for another therapist!. remeber:they are there to help you and not the other way around!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
