Question: I have a friend that is suicidal!?
i have 4 text messages from him saying he wants to kill himself, so some friends and i are on the way over and we are going to report him and have him taken forcibly!. do you know if i can just call 911!? will they take him to a psych place or jail!? does anyone know any places in long beach california that are open 24 hours that can help because we wont be there until about 10 pm!. someone is with him right now watching him!. we need it to be by force, cause he wont go himself!. we are just trying to save him! any help would be appreciated!Www@Answer-Health@Com

They won't take him to jail!. They will most likely take him to a hospital that has a psych ward and get him some help there!. You can call 1800 SUICIDE(784-2433) and they will be able to give you places where you can take your friend so he can get help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
He wont go to jail!. u can call 911 and they will take him to the nearest hospital!. You can have him admitted against his will if he is suicidal, but I believe he can sign himself out in 48 hours if he wishes!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
