i hear many people saying that he/she in depression but i cant understand what depression is exactly!?

It is a feeling which everyone comes through in their life!.

It is not a sign of personal weakness, and it cannot be willed or wished away!.

It's a feeling which interferes with your ability to work, study, sleep, eat, and enjoy pleasurable activities!.

You would always feel sad, anxious, or "empty" mood
Feelings of hopelessness, guilt, worthlessness, helplessness
Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, decreased energy, being "slowed down", difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping, being lonely, appetite and/or weight loss or overeating and weight gain, thoughts of death or suicide; suicide attempts, restlessness, irritability, persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain!.!.!. This is called depression!.

Depression is a kind of psychological disorder!.

Symptoms that people have when they're depressed can include:

* depressed mood or sadness most of the time (for what may seem like no reason)
* lack of energy and focus
* inability to enjoy things that used to bring pleasure
* withdrawal from friends and family
* irritability, anger, or anxiety
* inability to concentrate
* significant weight loss or gain
* significant change in sleep patterns (inability to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get up in the morning)
* feelings of guilt or worthlessness
* aches and pains (with no known medical cause)
* pessimism and indifference (not caring about anything in the present or future)
* thoughts of death or suicide

Depressed people usually needs a strong support from caring , understanding and patient people to help fight the mind battles in them ,to be given light of hope and directions!.
In some severe cases, medications are given to suppress the

Depression is a disease and needs treatment!.The treatment is long and medicine has to be taken regularly till the doctor asks you to stop!.If the patient stops medicine on his own he may get a relapse and treatment has to be started all over again!.The external symtoms are down feelings, crying without reason,ignoring hygene like bath,brush etc,doing nothing just staring blankly etc!.etc and most not wanting to meet people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

is an unbearable sadness that happens for no reason and lasts for ages (weeks, months and years) one of the most common mental health problems but one of the worst ones because your in a state of total darkness in your mind and it never lifts!. you dont feel human you just feel like your excisting simply excisting not living!. thats why people with depression want to die because they dont want to excist nymore

For me it was crying for no reason and feeling lonely its a very dark place to be be and am glad that I'm out of it at the moment, you feel like you are trying to crawl out of a deep dark tunnel or losing a never ending battle, but with help, you can beat it, hope that helps you to understand it a bit more, goodluck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression is a weight that keeps your mind from breathing!. It is something that can make you feel like there is no escape, and so you scar up your arms!.

It is like a bad dream, where you're frozen in fear!? Only the fear is a sadness that freezes you!. Sometimes you can't function!.
