Hey sweety from my experience it has been the best antidepressant i have ever used!. I trialed a few before i got the right one that suited me!.
It really is a matter of getting as much information from the doctor as you can, and just the whole trial and error thing!.
For me it has basically saved my life , however different meds suit different people and you will have people tell you that other meds worked better for them!.
i think the best thing is go into this positive, know that there are many alternatives if this med doesnt work out, and just let hubby give it a go!.
he has to know that it can take up to 6 weeks before a antidepressant works to its full potential , so it is a bit of a waiting game, but to go from being really down to a better quality of life , its really worth it!.

don't use it!.
i use it back in 06' and i did use it with another medication but anyhow i was taking 10 mg!. then my then doctor up dosed it to 20mg!. that same day my limbs went numb i went weak could not see could not talk or write i had to call 911 and go to e!.r!. they said no it was not the medication but it was the only thing different i had done in my body so i knew it was the medication then the next day i had the same symptoms i quit taking Lexapro all together!.
i was on the same combination of pills that anna nicole smiths' son was using when he died!. so if that gives any indication i do not believe anyone should use the medication its dangerous and i know each body reacts differently but i would stress not too!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
