Affective schizophrenia? What in the hell is this?!

Question: Affective schizophrenia!? What in the hell is this!?
My Mom claims to have it after having poured through the DSMV!. She made me read the description a couple of years ago but it sounded EXACTLY like the symptoms of depression!.

I mean, whatever it takes to get you through the day but she throws it out as an excuse sometimes!. *like why she's such a cold fish*Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lucky,

It really doesn't matter what your mother says she has, ultimately what she has done at the Ego level is created a defense mechanism that allows her to not change!. By assigning herself a label she can justify her actions, even though they aren't in alignment with who she truly wants to be!.

What I suggest you do instead of attacking her is try to have compassion, she is living inside a hell!. If you love in spite of being attacked and see her as you wish her to be, instead of what she is - she is more likely to grow into that image, especially if your frame remains strong!.

This will work not only for your mother but any person you encounter that is at a level less than you know they can be!. See their potential, not their current state!.

One final thought - it helps to have a community to support you in your quest to live your Full Potential!. I have started a community called http://www!.FullPotential!.com and I invite you to join us and share your progress!.

Does she do her own abdominal surgery, too!?

"Affective" is used in this context to refer to behaviour relating to the emotions!. Depression is considered an affective condition, as is bipolar affective disorder (manic depression!.) My best guess is a disorder of the emotions with delusional aspects!.

If her diagnosis is correct, then she's in serious need of help!. But there are other conditions which might explain her behaviour!. Borderline personality disorder!? Narcissism!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i don't know your mom or the disorder very well but can be side effects of medication or maybe bad mood!? Sometimes people don't notice they are being rude and sometimes they can't help if mental disorder which can make it understandable so don't have to take as offense if think along lines of an illness not a deliberate comment!.,Www@Answer-Health@Com
