How do I stop myself laughing when nervous or under pressure?!
Question: How do I stop myself laughing when nervous or under pressure!?
It is SO embarassing! I laugh when I'm having an injection or when somebody makes eye contact with me when they're talking to me but the worst is when I make speeches! I did one about animal testing and all the animals that hopelessly die in laboratories for make-up etc!. and I started histeriacally laughing!! Oh, and today, my mum was really mad at me because I didn't take my muddy shoes off before going in to the house and I was laughing terribly!
It does run in the family though, on my mums side they all laugh at funerals!
Is this a self confidence thing!? It's very embarrassing!.
Thanks,

I think it's just how you deal with awkward, or strange situations!. I laugh when I'm in trouble!. I don't mean to, but I get a "squirely" look on my face and get in more trouble!. I don't think it has to do with confidence, just a defense mechanism!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I do the same things, it's because we're not comfortable with people, and aren't good in stressful/nerve racking situations, if it gets to the point where its as bad as your saying it is, I'd go see a professional!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i tend to do that sometimes!.!.!. it does help to talk to someone about it!.!. a temporary solution may be to bite down on your tongue (not too hard) to distract yourself!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think it's one of the best ways to cope- so even if some people don't like it,
