There is no such thing as a unipolar manic!. It takes just one manic episode to give the person the diagnosis of Bipolar Type I, Single Manic Episode!. It is possible that the person never has another episode, though most do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

episodes can last months or years and sometimes a lifetime when undiagnosed!.
Depression or a low low is usually the symtoms for unipolar mania!.meaning one pole!.!.instead of bi meaning hi and low episodes!.!.meds are dependant on the individual symptomsWww@Answer-Health@Com
