Answers:
refers to clinical mental health care and includes assessment, care planning, treatment/intervention, case coordination, referral!.
services will be provided to children and adolescents and their families who present difficulties that suggest the presence of serious mental disorder or that there is a high risk of such disorder!. Service priority will be given to suicidal and severely disturbed or disordered children and adolescents whose behaviour is causing risk of harm to self or others!. The nature of the presenting problems may include:

Suicidal thoughts and behaviour
Psychotic phenomena (eg!. hallucinations, delusions)
Prolonged sadness or depressed/agitated, irritable mood
Emotional distress and/or behavioural problems in the context or relational or family problems
Excessive anxiety, fearfulness, phobic behaviours
Obsessional thoughts and compulsive rituals
Eating and body image disturbances
Difficulties for children of parents with mental health illness

The assessment of the child includes a review of physical and mental health, intelligence, school performance, family situation, and behavior in the community!. The assessment identifies the strengths of the child and family!. Together, the caregiver and family decide what kind of treatment and supports, if any, are needed!.

the main thing is that they are there to help you hun!!!

Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Top marks to your GP for sensitivity, communication skills and good patient care!. (not)
Yes, they are the child and adolescent mental health team and they will want to talk, or more likely listen, to you!. They are not going to tell you off, or belittle anything you tell them!. They want to understand what has led you to harm yourself so that they can work with you to change this behaviour!. If there is a depressive element in the causation the team doctor will probably prescribe anti-depressents!. If you are really anti taking medication they can't force you!.
Please be assured that they want to help you, and they will be a lot more understanding than your GP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they are just going to ask what made you want to self harm!.!.!.!.what you get out of self harming!.!.!.!.how do you think self harming will help you accomplish your target!.!.!.!.they may give you the guilt question of how would you feel if your self harming went too far and you killed yourself- you would be abandoning your family!.!.!.!. good luck and we are quite helpful, if they are a good psychiatrist they will be able to turn your life around!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why are you worried!? you were the one harming yourself!. From what you have said these people are going to try to help you!. Why be afraid of them and you sound as tho you are going to try and hinder your own help!.
Be calm, take a deep breath and know that there is only good things coming your way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They just talk to you like and ask how you are it is a bit like seeing a therapist!. After they write to your doctor and tell them what they feel is the best treatment for you!. I was scared they were going to section me lol but they didn't!Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will ask you about symptoms of mental illness, so you can be diagnosed and treated accordingly!. "Zombifying" drugs (antipsychotics) would probably not be used in your condition, at least not in high doses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's actually spelt CAMHS which means Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services!. They dont do anything just speak :)

Is it in broxbourne!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should perhaps talk with your doctor, they should be able to answer your question !. Hope all goes well for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will just talk to you, they'll try to find the reason why you harm yourself and think of a sollution to resolve the problem, they really want to help you, remember its not that they want to do anything to you, they really want to help and they will listen to everything that you tell them and they will never tell it to anyone els, believe me, Me and my friend when to talk to a psychiatrist but you need to go more than once because just once might not help you that much!. Depending on the problem that you have, they might prescribe that you take some pills but you dont have to take them allthough The pills will help you, believe me, I've been drinking anti depro pills for more than a year, they dont change who you are (a depression is more biological than psychological), what you need to do is find out what the pills actually do to you, I promise you that they are only there to help you!. I hope everything goes well!. But please go read at what the pills actually do, i promise you they hellp and renember that they wont force you to drink or do something you dont want to, they really want to help!.!.!.good luck!. Go to the CAMs, what harm can come from it if they just want to help!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do need the help the professionals can give you, even if it is with meds!. My niece was a cutter, and the mental health facility here in the US put her on Trazadone, and done a lot of counseling with her!. She is now doing fine, and will graduate this year with honors!. YOU can also get better if you will let the adults help you, by you talking and telling them how you feel, and cooperating with what they suggest!. The meds they give you isn't going to make you into a zombie, and if they do, then tell you pdoc or consellor, as that would be over medicating you!. YOU don't need to be over medicated, just help with your emotions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
