My 15 year old daughter wrote this. Should I be concerned?!

Question: My 15 year old daughter wrote this!. Should I be concerned!?
The silence was deafening, only the sound of muffled crying and heavy breathing could be heard!.!. As I looked around the empty cave of a room, my heart sank and tears fell, uninvited from my tired eyes!. I watched as the frail skeletons bobbed up and down, working there exhausted bodies to the limit!. I felt terribly out of place!. I looked down at my fat soaked body and realized how un-welcome I was on these premises!. My fears had turned out to be all too realistic!. Just as I had imagined, a depression had gripped this place and refused to let go, suffocating every living thing packed into the building!. The endless corridors were a motorway of nurses and doctors, each on an errand, each totally ignorant to the real problem hidden between the walls!. The neon lights blinded me and turned my skin a horrible milk like colour that drained all the life out of me that had once been so prevalent!. Seeing my future played out before my eyes saddened me to a great extent!. I longed to be freeWww@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, did you read it in her diary or in something private!? If so, it will only make her feel like she can't trust you (and you might be the last to hear if she's having trouble) if you confront her about it!. Try to think about the circumstances when you first read it!. Were you snooping or did she want you to find it (i!.e!. leaving out in the open, or some place she'd know you would see)!? 15 is a bad age and this stuff is normal (unfortunately)!. I am 15 now and I have written things very similar!. Writing is the only way I can make my self feel better when I get really depressed!. I am sure it's the same with her!. It's a far better outlet than physical pain and drugs(not that I have, but the pain has to come out somehow)and at least she is letting it out in a good way!. The best advice I can give you is to pay attention!. Watch for signs and it might help to have a little one-on-one time!. Nothing stressful, just someplace she would be herself and you could have a girls day;) Give her attention, but don't overdo it with questions!. Try to make more time for the two of you and she just might open up!. I know it's hard to chose between being a mom and being a friend, but keep your eyes and ears open, your lips tight about it and see if she brings it up first!. I hope that helps, Emma!.
ps you might want to find out what(or who) is making her feel this way!. Knowing is always better than guessing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, open the dialogue of conversation but do not let her know that you read this because it could be perceived as violating a trust!. Tell her you are concerned about her, that it seems like she is having a hard time, ask her if she is ok, and if she isn't now or at anytime you are there always and will look into getting her help by taking her to a therapist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My daughter writes stuff like this all the time!. Girls this age are very melodramatic!. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless she is showing other signs of depression, changes in mood or grades, diet, etc!. I would talk to her about it, but try not to be too serious or concerned when you do!. It's very creative!. Maybe start by commenting on that aspect of it and let a dialogue develop from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!.
Most fifteen year olds get "emo", it's true, but that doesn't mean it's not a problem!.
Don't tell her you read it, don't act differently or strangely around her, but be her friend!. If she tells you how she's been feeling or you have any other reasons for concern, maybe talk to her about seeing a therapist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is this a piece of creative writing!? Or something from a journal!? I would talk to her about it and ask her if this is a reflection of how she feels inside!. I remember being 15 and getting into some heavy feelings and writing them down, but this is pretty gruesome!. Definitely see what's going on in her life!.

God bless!.

It depends!.

If it is from a diary, I would be concerned!.

If it is a work of fiction, I would not!.

I would need to know the purpose!. Did she write it for an english class!? Is she trying to write a book!? Is it her record of a dream she had!?

I would have to know more about context before deciding if it was a concern!. So you might ask her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i dont think you should talk to her about it!. but i do think you should make sure that the communication lines are open and that she can talk to you if she wants!. im 16 and i've had just about the worst couple years i could imagine and my mom refuses to be apart of my life!. i just think that maybe if she had been there for me and wanted to be apart of my life then i wouldn't have done a lot of the stupid things i've done!.
just love your daughter and be there for her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is she over-weight!?!? I think she is fine, just unhappy with her appearance, talk to her, ask to go on walks with you, work out with her, get on her side, make comments about how bad you look, so she knows she's not alone, ( I don't know what you look like, just thinking about your son)Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh hur hur hur all you ''she's emo'' people!. There's a difference between creativity and a fashion trend!.

As a creative writing piece i think it's brilliant!. She might be a bit offended if she knew you'd found something private of hers, so if you do talk to her about it, prepare yourself! I think bringing it up could help just in case she is feeling depressed!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well!.!.!.it depends!. If your daughter has only been like this for a week or so, leave her be!. But if she cotinues to be like this, don't be afraid to sit and talk with her!. Here is a good reference to look at about teens!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know I wasn't writing things like that at age 15!. I'd be concerned!. I probably wouldn't confront her about it though!. It sounds like she has body image issues!. Watch her eating habbits!. Make sure she doesn't have an eating disorder!. Try boosting her self esteem by telling her she's beautiful!. Just be there for her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, talk to her about it!. Find out why she wrote it!. It may not even be the reason that you think!. If she actually did write that, she's a very good writer!. She should write about something thats uplifting, which will appeal to more people though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. She is disrespectful of her room and what you give her!. She needs to understand that you are a great mother and you can do what you can do!. This will efect on her whol life!. You should talk to her about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I admit to writing some pretty weird things as a teenager, however, she sounds a little off in the head!. Maybe she's been doing drugs or maybe she's mental!. Have her checked out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

no we teenagers express iur feelings trough writing like when i amd sad i write about death or when i am happy but life it is probably a figure of speech expressing herselfWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you have a reason for concern, have her talk to a counselor!. You know her better than we do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It might be a good idea to talk to her about it, but otherwise do not worry about it!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
