i am intrested in serial killers, and i want to start a scrap book told my mum and she said im not allowed!. but im intrested in how they think and stuff!.!.!. would it be wrong if i did!.

It depends on whether you are a typical-normal-average 16 year old or if you do weird things like strangle puppies and stomp on kittens!.!.!. If you aren't mutilating animals for fun, then I think this just means you have an interest in the human brain and will probably become a career field in your future!.!.!. Just try not to obsess, if your social/home life is effected because your choosing serial killer related things over other things or anything like that, then that's an entire different problem, then you should see a therapist about OCD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think it is sick!. i'm 16 as well!. I find the psychology of the serial killers very interesting!. How they think, what they do, their family lives, their family, etc!. I've always been interested in psychology!. I've always been fascinated by wars, serial killers, etc!. Forunatly my parents have allowed me to study all of these subjects freely!. It is very intriguing, the way it sounds like you're interested though sounds much more like a fascination with the psychology, not like you wanna go do it yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
This isn't really "sick" - you're really just broadening your horizons and learning about different people's behaviour!. Serial killers can be very interesting in the way that no one really knows if it's nature or nurture that gives them the initiative to commit murder, and being interested in something no one completely knows the answer to leaves you to draw your own conclusions!.
Your mum probably said no because she was a bit shocked that you would want to learn about such things!.!.!.but reassure you only want it for the educational purposes, not because you have the urge to become one yourself!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not sick, the actual term for it is morbid fascination!. everybody has it at some sort of level!. If it really is because you're fascinated about it why don't you do a portfolio of it, and perhaps display your findings at school or something!. If you use your interest in serial killers academically, your mum will see that its not because you're sick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't like gore or blood, but I think you can be a fan of any fictional character!.
But the line between fictional and nonfictional is often a blur especially with what horrific things you hear what some people do to another human!.

My friend was highly infatuated with serial killers!. Even told me she wanted to be a contract killer when she grew up!. And if you think YOU'RE weird, she was catholic!.
Anyway, no I don't think it's weird, I think it's pretty cool as long as you're not actually going to be the Sweeny Todd of your neighborhood or anything!. I think they're quite interesting as well!.

i dont think its sick at all!. i am 14 and i am interested in reading about them and figuring them out and im going to make a career out of it!. the difference between you and a serial killer is that you know that you would never kill or want to kill someone cos you know its wrong!. if you know this you should be fine!. people think im a bit sick but il be laughing when im earning big money helping putting a stop to the sickos adn proving those people wrongWww@Answer-Health@Com
Its not a good idea to get obsessed with stuff like that!. Try something different like sports, fashion, anime, different cultures ,ect I took a college class and did a huge project on it!. Trust me you dont want to get familiar with how they think I almost needed counseling after!. A lot of that stuff is really sick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think your mums got a point i mean many serial killers were admirers of the works of other serial killers and glorified their ideas of killing it all depends if you are only intrested in some of the serial killers psyche or if you actually feel in any way stimulated by there work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on what your reasons for interests are!. For instance, if you were interested in the psychology behind them, and how that linked to the odd ways that they killed etc!. that would not be weird!. If you were interested in the gory details of there crimes, etc!. yes that would be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think reading about these criminals is okay
there are plenty of books written on the subject and tv channels devoted to crime

It is not strange but I would listen to your mom about this!. You are young and when you get in college maybe you could do something with abnormal psychology or similar along those lines!. You dont want all that in your head when you are young!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
