You're having what's basically called an anxiety attack!. They can last anywhere from a few minutes to days or even weeks on end!.

It's not indicative of a larger health problem and doesn't typically act as a precursor to a more serious issue!.

You should probably see your physician and let him or her know about your symptoms!. They can prescribe a basic anti-depressant which sometimes helps the problem, or an anti-anxiety medication which will target different areas of your brain to ease the effects of anxiety attacks when they happen!. They might also set up for you a visit with a psychologist who can better help you understand your feelings and pay attention to your thoughts effectively!. They're role is to be as objective as possible!.!.!. (they're not your parents, your best friend, some stranger on the bus, a co-worker, or the family pet you'd be talking to)!. They're listening to probe and offer professional insight!.

Most everyone experiences anxiety attacks on some level!. People who have a phobia of flying may feel the stress of impending doom for days or weeks before their flight!.!.!. OR they may just have a racing heartbeat and cold sweats during the flight!. Sometimes when people find out they're going to be parents unexpectedly , they freak out!.!.!. a baby will change a parents life forever!. Hopefully for the better, but a change of responsibilities nonetheless!.

Some things you can do to remedy anxiety on your own!.

- Make sure you're getting enough sleep!.!.!. and NOT too much of it!. 8 hours is still considered to be the optimum!.

- Drink plenty of water and don't eat too much fast food!. Just as your body feels lethargic after being deprived of proper nutrients, so does your brain!. It can react in unpredictable ways!.

- Take some time for a mini-vacation, or self medicate!. If you really enjoy indulging in chocolate ice-cream, lets say!.!.!. reward yourself with some to make yourself feel better, and simply focus on that feeling!. By escaping for a short while by taking a walk, going for a drive, or just composing your thoughts, it can give your mind some much needed rest!.

- Consider the outside stimulus that could be causing stress!. Are you overwhelmed with work!? Is a family member angry with you!? Is money an issue!? Personal conflict can be extremely taxing on anyone despite it's size!.

If ever you begin to feel anxious and uncomfortable, totally out of control in whatever situation you're in where you're thoughts are moving at 100 mph, just remember that its an anxiety attack, and it WILL end!. It HAS to stop sometime, and your mind will return to its 'default setting'!. It can't last forever and it won't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
