Answers:
Yes!.!.!.but I think it would be wise to postpone treatment for BP and focus on the thyroid issues (problems with it can mimic mood disorders)!.!.!.see how you do when that gets under control before you start out on the life-long journey of trying to manage bipolar disorder!.!.!.when you may not actually have it at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might have bipolar, but having issues with your thyroid might explain alot especially if is over active!. I mean, you are able to write to this blog and your not on meds so hopefully its your throid!. defintely talk to your doctoe, one of my residents had a throid problem but that was because of the lithum like you stated!. she didnt have it prior!. Even if it turns out to be bi-polar with a thyroid issue you might not be able to take lithum because it does something to the levels or hormones or something like that!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have overactive thyroids but was misdiognosed as a manic depressant!.My thyroids cause the same symptoms as the manic only the meds for depression made me worse!. Finally I found a Dr!. that understood that I don't like taking pills& even though this will sound a little ridiculous it really worked(for me anyways)The thyroid produces too many hormones, when you have sex your body rids hormones; my body would overdose on them and I would pass out so when the Dr!. told me I should have more sex I thought the same as you are"Whatever" but I was curious so for one week everytime my thyroids would swell up or I would pass out or want to cry for no reason me and my other would have sex and the swelling went down,I quit passing out also those anger and crying spells soon where far and in between!. I realize this must sound really messed up but I have been controlling mine for 5 yrs!. without any therapist or medication!.Icey drinks help also!.Good-Luck although they carry similar symptoms they don't need the same treatment! They treat it with a hormone therapy that actually stops the natural production of the thyroid once treatment is started I was told that if I stopped taking it my condition would get worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
