Dealing with xanax withdrawals.?!

Question: Dealing with xanax withdrawals!.!?
I have been taking 1mg a day for about the last 6 months!. Problem is i do not have insurance and can not afford to buy them, plus i dont feel as tho i need them anymore, i am doing really well in public and i am having less panic attacks!. I tried to not take them one day and got really really ill!. i JUST started a new job and cannot really afford to take time off but i cannot work when i am going thru the withdrawals they feel horrible!. I dont have insurance so i cant just go get more!. I was wondering if there was any easier way to deal with these withdrawals or if i am going to HAVE to go to the hospital to deal with it!?
(they were perscribed to me, i was on workers comp and my workers comp case is closed, so i cant get my meds anymore)
And i have gone down to only !.5mg a day, i take it right before i go to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like withdrawals to me, and I know they could be wicked!.

You should have tapered off slowly!. Try taking 1mg one night and !.5 the next!. Do this for about a week till you body gets used to having less xanax in your system!. For the two days take !.5 at night!. Than taper to !.5 one night than !.25 the next!. And slowly taper off till your down to none!.

Stopping xanax suddenly will not only make you feel like crap but it's also dangerous! You can possibly have seizures!.

you can also try taking Kava Kava!. It's a natrual relaxant!. It's compleatly legal and they sell it in GNC or other health food stores!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I take Xanex, but I wanted to work on taking it only for emergencys!. You may want to try seroquel 25mg in the daytime!. It helps some with daytime anxiety but may cause tiredness!. It helps take the edge off a bit though!. Even half of the 25 mg might help cutting down the amount of Xanax!. It has helped me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i wouldnt take it before sleep!. could be more addictive that way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1 Mg qD for 6 months would be a problem for almost anyone!. Part of any discussion with a doctor to begin a benzodiazepine should be how to get off it!. They are mostly for short-term help, because they are so addicting!.

You need to work with your doctor regarding this withdrawal, as it can be very dangerous!.

If this doc's not willing to help you, find another one now!. You may qualify for some public health or public mental health treatment, and a good psychatrist will know more about Xanax than any general practitioner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What withdrawal symptoms are you having!? You are still taking !.5 mg!. a day, so I don't think you should feel horrible!.
Maybe it is just the pressure of a new job, and the subcontious knowing that you are taking less, and to top it off, your worries about insurance, or money for such meds!.
It is possible you need a different med to help you with the withdrawal!.

I was on xanax for 2 years, but not on a steady basis!. It was just my lifeline when things went really crazy!.

Just thought about this!.!.!.!.Google it!. You will surely find a lot of information about withdrawal, and how to deal with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
