Question: Every time im depressed, i feel suicidal!?
majority of the time when i get depressed i feel suicidal!.!.!.!.the last time i tried to commit suicide was last year, but it didnt work!. i am depressed because i am lonely because i dont have any girl friends and my love life sucks horribly!. im 22 i never have been in a relationship ive never had a female best friend or really had any close female friends!.!.!.!.i dont want to spend time alone!. im also dealing with the fact that i was raped by an ex friend of mine my second year of college!. i have been going to counseling, but its not really helping!.!.!.!.i dont know what to do, i mean i really dont want to die i wanna be happy, no more depression and i just want to have a circle of girl friends, things are also hard for me because im reserved not shy and i have cerebral palsyWww@Answer-Health@Com

DON'T WORRY! Things always seem to look up, believe it or not!. I've been in your position, just like tons of other people!. You CAN'T give up just because you are not satisfied with your life right now!. You know what's fun!? - Working on yourself!. Do everything in your power to make yourself happy, and feel good about YOU!. Find your confidence and love for your own being!. Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise to be alone in your life for a period of time!. You know why!? It's because you get to find out a little more about yourself each day!.

Also, having girlfriends and love interests ARE beautiful parts of life!. You want to have fun with them, laugh with them, feel like you have people that care about you and love you!. Plus, it's hard to battle those long days of boredum and the same old routine!. DON'T WORRY, though!. If you want more of a social life, start slowly just by getting out of the house and going somewhere you usually don't go!. Would you be gutsy enough to join a new class of some sort or go to the gym!? If you can't afford anything at the moment just think of ANYTHING you can possibly do to be around more people!. Say hi!. Start a conversation!. (Just be careful who you're talking to)!.

Your life will look up! We ALL have our ups and downs, but you just have to show your strength and push right through the hard times!. The glass is half full, remember that!. Change your outlook on life!. See the beauty in yourself!.

please don't do it!. life has it's share of up's and downs but we need to be strong and try to get through it, have you tried talking to your doctor about these feelings, he may suggest a course of anti-depressants or similar!. as for friends try finding a group of people who have similar interests like music or cooking etc, you will find kindred spirits if you know where to look, try social networking sites to find likeminded people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Has your counselor recommended any anti-depressants for you!? I am a firm believer that depression is an illness and like any illness, it needs medicine!.

Maybe your counselor can recommend group therapy where you can meet other girls who have been in similar situations as you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

although my circumstances are different, i understand your feelings and thoughts!. for me when life, situations, or memories of something awful that happened seem to be too much to handle, i will think suicidal thoughts!. what i have been figuring out more and more is that "hard" situations are extremely hard for me to cope with, unlike a person with a healthier mind!. so for us the thought of facing difficult situations,memories, etc!. seem unbearable!. i'm sure counselors, friends, family etc!. have given you coping skills, but that too is also difficult for us!. we feel stuck!. as for me, the steps i have started taking are starting to help!. i find happiness in helping others!. not sure what your failth is, but sometimes the awful things that we have indured, could be the exact thing to help others with, we get it, we understand, we have felt it, experienced it!. the work i do deals with so many diff!. types of people!. i do feel most helpful with people struggling emotionally!. even though i won't tell them my personal struggles mentally!.!.!.we seem to have a connection with each other!. i know that i have an understanding for people in our situations, i feel so happy when i have made someone smile!. i often get a reaction from the people i encounter!.!.!.!.!. relief, someone feels what i feel, and there is hope to get out of being "stuck"!. (i know you know what that feels like) so please help someone with struggles you have experienced maybe through volunteer work, i can almost garantee that you will be so moved by helping others in the same situation!.!.!.that you will too start to rebuild emotionally!. you are here with us for so many reasons,so don't give up and if you have a bad day, wake up tomorrow and try again!. ok! :)
