Endep (Amitriptyline Hydrochloride) and Weight Gain?!
Question: Endep (Amitriptyline Hydrochloride) and Weight Gain!?
I am currently on Endep 100 mg daily for chronic back pain!.
As a nurse, as well as someone who has suffered depression in the past, I am aware that this drug is used primarily for treating depression!. I also know that there is a possibility of weight gain (more than other anti-depressants)!.
I would appreciate some feedback from anyone who is or has been on this drug and the effects that it had on them, both in terms of weight increase and anything else!.

I'm on Amitiriptyline for really bad headaches and have been for several years, but have never noticed any weight gain or any other side effects for that matter!. My migraines have subsided to basically nothing!.!.!.!.other than getting a normal nasty headache once in a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
