Question: Sleep problem, Please help!?
Can someone please help!. Recently ive been feeling really down and suicidal!. Now im getting stressed on top of that because im soo tired but i just cant get to sleep and then im waking really early in the morning and its affecting my work!. I need to sleep, im soo tired but it seems impossible!. Any ideas appreciated please!?!? Thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com

A couple of things that have worked for me!. I have a routine - a "rut" I do to prepare my head for bed!. First, I moved "bedtime" up 1/2 hour, and try not to eat within two hours of bed time if I can help it (except maybe for a light dessert or one square of chocolate)!.

Change into comfortable bed clothes (for me, that's a huge t-shirt), wash face, brush teeth, use the bathroom, get a small glass of water, change the pillowcase to a fresh one - the smell is relaxing!.

Using the glass of water, take a couple of aspirin or Tylenol M - that will help mask any aches and pains and allow your body to relax more!.

I read to relax me and fill my head with something besides the usual problems of the day or whatever!. Pick out something you like but that isn't too exciting - I like mysteries and SciFi and adventures, but I leave the adventures for day-time reading!. So I read for the 1/2 hour using a 35 watt bulb next to my bed!. A weaker light isn't so obtrusive and is more relaxing!.

Turn the light out and use ONE pillow for your head!. Turn it over so it's cool, and then start looking at the designs on the inside of your eyelids!. It's almost hypnotic, and if you concentrate on them, your brain won't side-rail onto the day's issues and problems!. You'll wake up not remembering exactly when you went to sleep, but you'll feel a lot better and more able to take on the next day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you tried listening to soothing gentle music, cos this can relax you to sleep!. I appreciate it must be hard for you, being so stressed and so that won't make it easy, do you have someone close to you, someone you can trust that maybe you can talk to about this!?, cos you need help hun!

Take yourself for a brisk 1/2 hour walk and then drink a hot chocolate!.
A warm bath is beneficial but dont have the water to hot as it stimulate rather than relaxes!.
Read a book to take your mind off what you are thinking!.
Dont go to bed until youre tired and try to establish a routine eg dinner walk bath bed that way you body knows you are ready for restWww@Answer-Health@Com

its hard for me to go to sleep too and im not sure if this will help but i like to listen to music to get me to fall asleep!. sometimes i even like rock music but like a calming not to noisy song usually works bestWww@Answer-Health@Com

you can either try and solve whatever issue is keeping you awake and/or making you feel suicidal or go and speak to your gp, maybe they can prescribe you something or offer some advice to help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you smoke try weed !. Its honestly a cure all!. Maybe eat a litte before you sleep!.
I had the same problem for years , the doctors would try and get me to take drugs!. But i resisted and went for the natural answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any PM medication should do the trick!. If you don't have any meds on hand, drink a glass of warm milk!. It's an old time remedy that really works!. Personally, I'm partial to Benadryl!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
