Answers:
Do not stop taking this medication cold turkey!. If you do that, you run the risk of discontinuation syndrome!. The best way to get of cipralex is to ween off of it gradually!. Usually one stays on an antidepressant for 6 to 18 months depending on several factors!. If you doctor thinks you will be ok without I'd at least try what he/she is suggesting, but be on the lookout!. If it comes back you can always start again!.

if you are frightened of coming off them then maybe the time isnt right for you to do so!. i was on anti depressants for 8 years!. i knew the time was right to come off them (even though i was told id be on them for the rest of my life) when i was actually feeling worse for taking them!. id been put on different types and different strengths, i had to go in hospital once for something unrelated!. the night sister said the dosage i was on would have been enough to knock an elephant out!. thats when i decided that i would ease off them gradually!. i still get bouts of depression but i am able to cope and dont want to go back on the medication!. you have to learn to feel positive about yourself!. it does help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

8 months is good, but you shouldn't just stop taking it altogether, you should be weaning yourself off it slowly to prevent relapses!. Your GP should advise you on how to reduce your dose gradually!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

be guided by your g!.p!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
