What can I do about insomnia?!


Question: What can I do about insomnia!?
Answers:
There are many ways that can help with insomnia!.!.!.
1)drink a warm glass of milk (with honey) before bed
2)have a warm cup of chamomille, lavender, mint or valerian tea
3)try meditating before bed (using either relaxation or visually guided meditation!.!.!.you can also try seeing yourself as a tree and feel the roots go down deep into the earth and feel the branchs grow and reach for the sun!.!.!.and allow the earth and sun energies wash through you)
4)exersis early in the day and try yoga a few hours before bed
5) take a long hot shower or bath before bed - if taking a bath, try bath oils you can put in the water!.!.!.and epson salt!.
6) melatonin - I know this is a pill!.!.!.but it is an natural supplement and really helps!.
and if all else fails!.!.!.see about visiting your doc to get some powerful sleep meds like Lunesta, or Ambien

I personally prefer more natural ways of dealing with insomnia like warm baths combined with essential oils for aromatherapy!. Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Clary Sage, Helichrysum, Mandarin, Marjoram, Neroli, Ylang Ylang , Vetiver, Rose, Spikenard and Frankincense are all great for calming the mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first thing you should do is try to improve your sleep hygiene!. Try some of these steps:

1!. Get up at the same time every day
2!. Maintain a consistent bedtime but only go to bed when sleepy
3!. Keep naps short and no later than mid-afternoon
4!. Exercise regularly
5!. Less caffeine and nicotine particularly in the evening
6!. No TV or computer an hour before bed
7!. Reduce light levels as bedtime approaches
8!. Keep bedroom cool and quiet
9!. Keep bedroom as dark as possible
10!. Only use your bed for sleep and sex

I have always had trouble getting to sleep and staying sleeping but one thing that has made a slight difference is only ever laying on my bed when it is time to sleep!.!.!.!.if you use your bed for reading or listening to music!.!.ect you body doesn't realize that when you lay down it is time to sleep!.!.!.it thinks you may just be doing something else!. Also when you don't use your bed much then when you get in it it feels more comfy causeing natural sleepiness!. There is some great advice given above!.

The only thing I can add is wearing bed socks when sleeping!.
I find they help me fall sleep and stay asleep!.
I don't know why, possibly they make me feel more warm, cozy and secure!.

see a sleep specialist!. I had some long bouts of insomnia as a teen, it was caused by emotional trauma!. There is help out there!.

Do not use over the counter sleep aids, very easy to become addicted to sleep aids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take any kind of PM over the counter medication!. Tylenol PM works well!. You can also try NyQuil!. That works really good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
