How do you make yourself calm down when youre nervous?!


Question: How do you make yourself calm down when youre nervous!?
I just keep thinking about what people think of me and it makes me nervous!. Like if i say something stupid or embarass myself i obsess about it for days!.!.!.!.i just want to think normal!.!.!.!.

I feel the same way like I go to bed and night and can't sleep because I'm thinking about what I said and if it was right or wrong to say, or how stupid I feel!. I just apologize to the person if i said something mean, explain myself again if it wasn't clear or someone took it the wrong way, or forget about it if it's not that big of a deal!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, I pray if I'm really nervous! It helps me!. Everybody gets nervous or self-conscious at times!. You may just need to boost your confidence and self-esteem a little!. You could also take a deep breathe and think or say a "positive" thought or phrase about yourself at that moment in time to get you through and beyond the negative thought about yourself!. Try leaving yourself notes around or e-mails with good remarks about yourself to read!. Like hanging something on the bathroom mirror!. You could also compile a folder with cards/letters - anything from any family or friends who have had some nice things to say about you! Reading something encouraging and uplifting could make you feel better!. Also, do something nice for somebody or help somebody out - when you're feeling down about yourself - that will give you a boost! That way you're thinking about the other person and you're mind is off yourself!. Actions speak louder than words - so if you're doing something for somebody, you don't necessarily have to say much and worry about fumbling your words!. Your kind act will speak volumes about you! And the person's "Thank You!" will let you know what they think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem, but find that when I avoid sugar (even hidden added sugar like in mayo and ketchup) I seriously feel better!. Really!. It took about a month for my body to get used to this, but now I find that my thoughts only freak out when I indulge in something added-sugary!. Also, I think it's called the Calm tea at the grocery store and Starbucks actually does take the edge off of an overwhelming time!. I think it's by Tao Tea or Tea Republic or something like that!. There is an Answer for you, and I hope you find what works for you!. You can feel differently and better!. I know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably are normal and you just are thinking to much!. And you know what!? Who the hell cares what they think!? You are fine the way you are!. And the only persons opinion that matters is yours so if you liked yourself before all that happened, try to be that way and love yourself as much as you can!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know if you have some sorta problem!.!.!.everyone has problems with what others think!.!.!.and if anyone says otherwise they are just not human!. I obsess about things that happened in high school!.!.!.and I graduated in 2000!.

And as for me calming down when I'm nervous!.!.!.I count to 10, breath deeply, and try to push wants bothering me out of my mind!. If possible I'll get online and do something fun or I'll pull out a book I've been reading and read some of that!.!.!.and if all else fails!.!.!.I'll take an extra ativan (one or two as I see fit)!.

Calm down!.!.!.and remember everyone feels like you do somedays!. Just dont' put too much energy into worrying and wondering what others think!.!.!.hard I know but will actually help you in the long run!.

Learn some relaxation techniques!. What you are describing is classic to someone that has a problem with anxiety!.

I think you, me and a lot of people have this problem!. I combat it by having a cup of tea, but i'm going to try the finger tapping thing!Www@Answer-Health@Com
