Answers:
*Constant reading helps & watching current news!.
*Also doing school work (even if you're out of school), because its like a form of mental excercises for your brain!.
*If you're right handed- than once in a great while do brain teasers with your left hand to excercise the right side of your brain- & if you're a left hander then write with your right hand to excercise the left side!. So eventually both sides are active!.
*Excercise!. You don't have to do it excessively, but even a little amount of a workout will keep your body & mind healthier!.
*Get enough sleepWww@Answer-Health@Com

If there is a serious loss in memory and it is effecting your life drastically you need to talk to your GP about it!.

I have a terrible memory now I am a mum and many other mums I have spoken to feel the same!. In the meantime whilst you are 'brain training' have a massive wall calender or a pocket diary that all your day to day things can be put into!. Make sure it has a note section in the back for those momentary things you need to remember!. Also if you have several day to day chores that you always have to remember to do write them on a wall weekly planner!. Getting things into a weekly routine frees your mind from having to think about what needs to be done!. You can alternatively just glance at the wall planner and say oh its clothes washing today or my turn to cook etc!.

My GP said that although I was very capable of juggling 10 things at once easily I can't possibly expect to still juggle 10 things at once when 9 of them is taken up by a baby! So effectively I was infact trying to juggle 19 things at once and getting myself all depressed when I couldn't do it!.

Most of the time it isn't that people have bad memories, it's just that life throws at us so many things for us to remember our brains just struggle to remember it all!. It's kind of an overload our brains aren't designed for and then it has to prioritise what it can hold at any one time!. Even when people are chilling out infront of the television they are still making their brains work!.

Moments of relaxation, clearing of the mind with chill out music, or just focusing on doing one thing for a while allows your brain to switch off and catch up!. You'll find eventually you memory improves as your brain has a chance to sort of reset and isn't straining so hard to take in all that is happening on top of what has just been!.

I don't think you've got a terrible memory, your just probably rushed off your feet like most of us are and your brain is just saying wowa can't keep up!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to remeber something visualize an outlandish way to remember it with a picture in your mind similar but different that what you are trying to remember, the crazier the image in your mind the better your mind holds onto the picture associated with the real concept of what you are trying to remember!. It works good with names, dates, and times to remember to start with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sleep well, exercise, eat a decent meal and use your brain as much as possible!. If you don't use it, you lose it is the basic mentality!.

Best of luck to you,
