I think you need to change your thought process on addictions, because there are a lot of different reasons people begin using in the first place!. Some people are more genetically predisposed to addictions, but again, you can become addicted at 20 just as easily as you can at 30!. Everyone is different!. I think younger people are just more open to experimentation with drugs, where as older people are smarter and have more, and better developed coping strategies!. So it might seem that younger people become addicted more easily, but in reality, they arent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would probably have to say knowledge and experience, mixed in with a little bit of wisdom!.
However not all older people are equiped with these!.
I think its the same thing with the older people when they were younger , when your young and inexperienced you dont think about the consequences and take more chances because you see everything as fun, risk seems exciting , however like mentioned you get to a stage when you realise that life isnt just about you , and that your descisions arent gonna just affect you in life , but everyone around you!.
